Former NFF President Amaju Melvin Pinnick has slammed South Africa’s Sports Minister Gayton McKenzie, telling him to “speak like a statesman, not a street thug.” 😤💬

👤 McKenzie: “I want Nigeria to lose. They must not go to the World Cup. Another African country must go.”

👤 Pinnick: “If it’s God’s will for Nigeria to qualify, no careless statement can stop it. It’s shameful that someone like McKenzie represents a developed nation like South Africa. Many South Africans knowledgeable in football would never speak with such hate.”

🗣️ OLiseh: NFF Disbanded Us for Demanding Our FIFA Money in 2002 💰🇳🇬

Former Super Eagles captain Sunday Oliseh has revealed that he, Finidi George, and other key players were disbanded from the national team after they demanded their $500,000 share from FIFA’s qualification money for the 2002 World Cup. 😳⚽

> “FIFA sent $1 million for qualifying for the 2002 World Cup. We agreed to share it 50-50 between the players and the NFF.

Shortly after, I as captain and Finidi as assistant were disbanded. In fact, 80% of the players who played at the 2002 World Cup didn’t play the qualifiers,” Oliseh said.

“Till today, I’ve not been paid for qualifying Nigeria to that World Cup... and I’m sure those players haven’t been paid too.” 😔
