LIKOSI AJETUNDE MARKET GETS NEW LEADER IN GRAND STYLE
Likosi Market, under Sagamu Local Government in Ogun State, has ushered in a new era of leadership as Chief Olusegun Kehinde, popularly known as “Onile,” was officially installed as the Baba Oloja Ajetunde of Likosi in a colourful and well-attended ceremony today Thursday 30th April, 2026 at Likosi Palace

The event, marked by rich cultural display and community pride, witnessed royal blessings bestowed on the new market leader by representatives of His Royal Majesty, Oba Kazeem Gbadamosi Olaonipekun (Okuselu I), the Ologijo of Ogijo, alongside the Baale of Likosi Land, High Chief Dawodu Thomas Olabode.
In a strong show of solidarity, prominent market leaders including the Iya Oloja General of Remo, Sagamu, and Ogijo threw their full support behind the newly installed Baba Oloja, affirming confidence in his leadership and vision for the market.
Dignitaries from far and near gathered in large numbers to grace the occasion, while families, friends, and well-wishers celebrated the historic moment with joy and excitement.

During the presentation of the certificate and staff of office to the newly inaugurated Baba Oloja of Likosi Market, the Baale of Likosi delivered a message centered on leadership, responsibility, and unity within the market community.
He advised the new Baba Oloja to lead with integrity, fairness, and humility, emphasizing that the position is not just a title but a call to service. He urged him to prioritize the welfare of all traders, regardless of tribe or background, and to promote peaceful coexistence among Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, and other groups within the market.
