A Humanitarian NGO called True Change Initiative Development in their usual Annual Tradition of reaching out to People via rendering of Humanitarian Services ( Food, Scholarships, Healthcare etc) in Collaboration with Hon.Timi Christopher Ogosi Campaign Organization visited Akede Community in Ward 12 of Sagbama LGA, Bayelsa State for a Medical Outreach on the 28th of March, 2024. Indigenes of Akede ( Women,Men, Old People, youths and Children ) were given thorough Medical Care today, all this was made Possible through the great Philanthropist Hon.Timi Ogosi. "The hope of the Common Man" Having a long standing records of humanitarian Acts for Fifteen Years. A vote for Hon. Ogosi is a vote for Progress. The people of Sagbama, in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State have thrown their weight behind Honourable Christopher Timi-Ogosi, the candidate of the Labour Party for the forthcoming local government election, stating that in him they have found a leader who will prioritize the well-being and progress of the Area.

They made this known when the Labour Party candidate flagged off his campaign in Sagbama Town, stressing that the decision they make in selecting the next Council Chairman holds significant weight in shaping the progress and development of Sagbama local government area.

They pointed out that it is imperative to carefully consider the future leadership of the Area, hence the choice of Honourable Christopher Timi-Ogosi, noting that he embodies the qualities and attributes necessary to take Sagbama to greater heights.

The Sagbama people avered that through a rigorous process of personality assessment and critical analysis, it has become evident that Timi-Ogosi possesses the charisma, intelligence, and vision required to effectively serve the people, adding that his commitment to grassroot-oriented leadership, makes him a formidable candidate for the Chairmanship position.

According to them, Honorable Christopher Timi-Ogosi's experience and dedication to human capital development, particularly in empowering youth and women, align with the values and needs of the Area, maintaining that his unwavering compassion and genuine concern for the welfare of all sets him apart as a leader who can drive positive change. In his remarks, the acting Labour Party Chairman in Bayelsa state, Honourable John Tobi, expressed confidence in victory of the party in the local government election, asserting that the candidate's impressive track record makes the election favorable for the Labour Party.

Also, Engr Ebipuador Sapreobi, a native of Sagbama and a Labour Party member, highlighted the longstanding neglect and disconnection from governance in the local government, believing that Timi-ogosi's candidacy brings hope for positive change. ANEWS 204

On his part, Honourable Christopher Timi-ogosi, pledged to revamp and reposition the local economy through social investments and job creation strategies if elected.

The Sagbama High Court, sitting in Yenagoa, has adjourned to July 31, for definite hearing in a suit brought by the Labour Party candidates for chairmanship and councilorship positions in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa state.

The applicants seek an order of mandamus compelling the Bayelsa State Independent Electoral Commission (BYSIEC) to conduct local council polls.

During the pre-hearing on Monday, Counsels to the applicants, Barr Afini Egbegi, speaking through barrister Paul Kurekure, informed newsmen that the court had adjourned the case to July 31 to enable the applicants respond to the processes filed by the respondents in relation to the applicants' originating processes.

Barrister Kurekure emphasized that the suit also includes a request for an injunction to prohibit the Head of Local Government from overseeing the council's operations, stating that the failure to conduct local council polls is a clear subversion of the constitution.

Christopher Timi-ogosi, the chairmanship candidate of the Labour Party in Sagbama LGA, who spoke on behalf of the applicants, expressed satisfaction with the progress of the case, however criticizing the state government for its uncooperative stance and deliberate efforts to frustrate the case for personal gain.

Timi-ogosi voiced dissatisfaction with the recent constitution of the BYSIEC body by the state government, considering it a mere distraction they won’t fall prey to, vowing to pursue the case until a resolution is reached.

He emphasized that BYSIEC’s inability to initiate the necessary procedures for conducting the elections, several weeks after its chairman was sworn in, suggests either incompetence or bias, undermines democracy, and urged the commission to uphold the rule of law and promptly conduct the elections.

Living is giving and until you start living for People and make impactful existence on this Earth then you're just a passerby. Hon. Timi Ogosi is a silent achiever and a Father to so many. During the 2022 flood, he showed acts of stewardship through his NGO 'True Change Initiative for Development', lives were touched, mothers, children,the aged were all benefactors as a result of the quality Health care and palliatives that was distributed to the People of Sagbama Local Government Area. There is a saying that 'Humans are selfish in nature' but here comes a selfless man in the Person of Ogosi. His only priority is to see the people of Sagbama Local Government Area happy, healthy and well taken care. hence his humanitarian acts dating back to 10years. A Leopard can never change its spot so is a good man like Hon. Ogosi. A philanthropist to the core.
