The 1st West African Islamic Conference on Security and Governance was held at the ECOWAS Parliament, Abuja Nigeria.
Organised by Jam’iyyatu Ansariddeen Attijaniyya in collaboration with the ECOWAS Commission and the African Union (Silencing the Guns) and other regional and international stakeholders, the conference focused on the theme:
“The Role of Islamic Organisations in Countering Terr.orism and Vio.lent Extr.emism in West Africa and the Sahel.”
