The great misconception is that a Babalawo can help fight off Witches.

No!

A true Babalawo understand the power of the mothers of the night and so, he appeal and appease them with utmost reverence because this physical world is their territory.

In every woman, there is that authority to provoke nature against you.

I do everything not to cross their lane or have confrontation with them.

You are my mothers.
Nurse me to maturity.

You are my guidance.
Direct my path in love.

You are my comfort.
Let me find solace in your bosom.

To all women of the world, I fully recognize your powers and abilities.

May your energies come through for me in my days of troubles.

ORÍKÌ ÒGÚN

Oríkì is a Yoruba cultural phenomenon that comes in the form of praise poetry, praising either a person, òrìṣà (deity), or town based on their achievements. Ogun worshippers are known to sing Ogun’s oríkì and this specific part insinuates that Ògún is in seven paths.

Ògún méje logun mi,

Ògún alára ni n gb’aja,

Ògún onire a gb’àgbò,

Ògún Ikọla a gb’agbín,

Ògún gbengbena oje ìgí nìí mu,

Ògún ila a gb’esun iṣu,

Ògún akirin a gb’awo agbo,

Ògún elémono ẹran ahùn ni jẹ,

mákindé ti dogun lẹyin odi,

Bi o ba gba Tapa a gb’Aboki,

A gba Ukuuku a gba Kèmbèrí.

Translation:

My Ògún manifest in seven different ways
Ogun of the town of Ilara accepts a dog
atonement

Ogun of the town of Ire accepts a ram atonement

Ogun of the town of Ikole accepts a snail
atonement

Ogun of Gbenagena drinks tree sap for atonement

Ogun of the town of Ila accept yam seeds atonement

Ogun of the Akirin people accepts ram fur atonement

Ogun of the Elemono people eats tortoise meat for atonement

The brave that wages foreign wars

He will consume either Nupe, or Hausa

He consumes foreign people, He will consume the Kanuri too.

IFA’S TEACHING ON OFFERS

Offerings means a ceremonial sacrifice offered as part of worship. Or something we give to get something in return. In Yoruba, there is a proverb that says that ‘Ọwọ́ tọ́ níí mú Ọwọ́ tọ̀ọ́ wá’t that is, to give deserves to return. The appeasement of Ifá and Orisa means the rituals given to the ancestors to receive many blessings in return.

According to what ifá said in a Chapter of Ifá (Irentegbe).

Ifá says;

Ìbọ lègbè,
Ìbọ làwúre,
Dífá fún Orunmila,
Ifá or sakápò rẹ̀ d’Ọba,
Ó ní ẹni tú bá fẹ́ lówó lọ́wọ́,
Ẹ Sá máa ṣèbọ,
Ìbọ lègbè,
Ìbọ làwúre.

Translation

Offerings bring about improvement,
Offerings bring opening of the way,
Throwing riddles for Orunmila,
Ifá will make his followers become a King (Great person),
He said that whoever wants to get rich in life should give offerings,
Offerings bring wealth,
The offerings bring an opening of the way.
Anyone who wants to have a good wife, a good home, a good house, good cars, tranquility, live longer, have all the fortunes of life, must present his offerings ... Offerings bring about improvement

Àse Òrìsà 🤲🏽🙏🏾

I pray 🤲🏽 , May Olódùnmarè & Ifa Olokun accept all our prayers today ❤️🙏🏾.

ẸGBẸ́ Ọ̀RUN

The Ẹgbẹ́ or Ẹgbẹ́ Ọ̀run are spiritual partners (partners from heaven) or, in other words, spiritual groups or partners associated with us from heaven. Every living beings have Ẹgbẹ́,no one can be on Earth without having Ẹgbẹ́ each person enjoys the company of these companions in the Heavens before coming to Earth, since they are our partners / spiritual entities that lived with us, enjoyed with us, played with us in the realm of the spirit from which we came and accepted to take care of us , protect us and guide us, while we choose to be born in this kingdom.
The destiny of a person on Earth is already determined before leaving Heaven.
His spirit has already reached an agreement with the factual powers (ẸGBẸ́). This agreement can be for money, long life, children, etc. This agreement depends on each individual.
In some cases, a person may have a husband or wife during their time in Heaven and may have made a promise to this other important person (ẸGBẸ́). They may have promised not to take another husband or wife when they travel to the land. Or they may have promised to spend only one day, one week or one month on earth. If the agreement was broken while on earth (remember that we have no knowledge of this, because once a child has gone through the birth passage, the womb and has been born, all knowledge of our heavenly life is left behind), An individual will experience many problems in his earthly life.
It is important that a person makes a corresponding Sacrifice / Ritual to the corresponding Ẹgbẹ́ / Ẹgbẹ́ Ọ̀run for their particular situation when they arrive in this world.
The problems that people have will manifest in different ways. Some will lose jobs, or have problems with childbirth and others may have problems with marriage and relationships, depending on individual circumstances.
All these things could be the result of a broken promise with the Ẹgbẹ́ or Ẹgbẹ́ disgust for something about the person’s life on earth.

Song for Ẹgbẹ́

Ẹgbẹ́ ayé
Ẹgbẹ́ ọ̀run
Kò ní padà lẹ́yìn wa!
May our ancestors stay with us
And not foget us
Àṣẹ🙏
