MTN and Airtel’s failure to honour the invitation of the chairman of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, Prof. Oby Lilian Orogbu, and her distinguished committee members might attract some punishment. During the public hearing on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the Green Chamber, the member representing the Awka North and South Federal Constituency expressed her displeasure over the repeated violation of the law by MTN, Airtel, and other erring companies. But what benefits does having CSR-compliant companies have for Nigerians?
