HAPPY NEW MONTH OF JUNE!

As we joyfully usher in the month of June, I humbly invoke divine blessings upon our beloved Kokori community, guided by the powerful words of Scripture: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

May this month bring forth abundant favor and open doors of opportunity for all sons and daughters of Kokori. May divine wisdom and guidance rest upon the leadership of the Kokori Progress Union (KPU) Executive as they work towards sustainable development and progress for our people. May peace, tranquility, and divine protection envelope our community, and may joy, happiness, and celebration fill every home.

I pray that God blesses and protects our leaders, fathers, mothers, youths, and every member of Kokori community, both at home and in the diaspora. May His grace rest mightily upon the Okarorho of Kokori, High Chief Dominic Ekwetafia EMAKPO I, and the entire Kokori Council of Chiefs, as they continue to uphold and preserve our traditions with dignity and wisdom.

Together, may we strive for collective progress, unity, and prosperity. May God's blessings be upon us all in this new month and beyond.

Sincerely,
Comrade Anigboro Odeh Clement.

Mass Defection Rocks PDP in Kokori Ward 06 as Members Pledge Allegiance to APC.

By Ejeromedoghene Wisdom

In a major and incredible political development, the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kokori Ward 06, Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State, convened a meeting that culminated in the mass defection of its members to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The meeting, which took place at the residence of Rt. Hon. Sunny Akpodiogaga Emeyese, Esq., a former member of the House of Representatives for Ethiope Federal Constituency, was super saturated with joyful scenes as PDP members publicly declared their allegiance to the APC.

Video footage obtained by Kokori Television (KTV Media) captured attendees singing joyfully, chanting "On Sheriff’s mandate we stand," with Rt. Hon. S.A. Emeyese leading the chorus.

Also featured in the footage, Chief Emakpor Okorefe David, visibly excited, used a local proverb to illustrate the movement's significance, stating, "It is the head of the fish that carries the rest of the body," emphasizing that the group stands firmly behind Rt. Hon. Sunny Emeyese and Rt. Hon. Dr. Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori, the Governor of Delta State.

Among the notable figures present at the meeting were Chief David Odeje, Hon. Felix Onyakuko, Hon. Monday Uvwo, Mr. Egoriabe Edwin, Mr. Ochuko Osiebe, Mr. Onoriode Onovughe, Comrade Freeborn Felix Efe, and several others.

In an exciting message to Kokori TV official WhatsApp number, Comrade Freeborn Felix disclosed that more updates, photos, and videos documenting the historic moment will be released to KTV Media in the coming days.

*HEADLINE: Pastor Prosper Ojiyovwi Commends Government on Infrastructure, Calls for Youth Employment and Empowerment.*

Kokori TV reports that Pastor Prosper Ojiyovwi has applauded the government at the local, state, and federal levels for championing road and infrastructure development projects. He acknowledged the significant investments running into millions and billions of naira, which have transformed communities and improved connectivity.

However, Pastor Ojiyovwi emphasized that while physical structures are being built, the government must also focus on building lives. He stressed that manpower development is equally crucial and urged authorities to employ young graduates into the civil service and create sustainable opportunities for them to thrive.

"Let the government not only build roads and bridges but also build our youths, build our women, and build our future. What is development without the people? Our graduates need jobs, and our skilled citizens need startup support. There should be a structured plan to empower them,” he stated.

Speaking further to Kokori TV correspondents, Pastor Ojiyovwi called on ward councilors, state and federal representatives, including senators, to push for policy reforms that favor young graduates in Nigeria.

His message serves as a clarion call to policymakers, urging them to balance infrastructure development with human capital investment.
