THE FUEL CRISIS
In years gone by,
During the oil boom era;
Biafra lived flamboyantly:
Nothing was dumped in our country.
Tokunbo and the likes, Fairly used here and there-
Now a common feature of new things
In every commoner's home - All due to fuel crisis.
When we were toddlers,
Car owners parked into their choice stations
To buy the oil of life At their convenience.
But the reverse is the case today
As long queues are seen on highways - All in the name of fuel crisis.
Are we underdeveloped or overdeveloped?
An oil-producing country
Depending on refined oil from other countries When her own refineries are under-managed.
All resulting in fuel crisis!,
The oil has over shadowed Other sources of FOREX,
The groundnut pyramids in the Easth,The cocoa plantations in the East,The rubber plantations in the Easth,And the timber in the South Easth-All have been displaced by oil Leading to fuel crisis.
Our agrarian background being forgotten;
Living like kings in deception of oil boom goodies
But what is the story today!
The over-fed child looks very emaciated, For he has been made to vomit all the extras;
Paving way for - fuel crisis will end aslong as biafra breathe.
