Pains of a motherless child
Kenneth who was inside his car saw what happened, he rushed out and ran towards her, carried her into his car and took her to a nearby private hospital, he believes that a private hospital will attend to them more than a public hospital..
After series of test the doctor left her ward and went to his office then he came back on his way inside Cynthia's ward Kenneth rushed to his and asked his about her health and that of her unborn baby, "u see Mr Kenneth, her and her unborn child are doing well, but u have to keep her away from anything stressful that would weaken her system anymore mistake could cause complications not only that she might lose her child and also her womb, so u have to be very careful with her health always give her fruits and vegetables, I will prescribe some drugs that u will give to her also make sure that she eats food very well it could be of help to her right now, I'm going to give her injection after 2 hours she would regain consciousness, go and get food for her" the doctor told Kenneth after giving her the injection he left for his office...
* After 2 hours Cynthia woke up and was asking Kenneth where he brought her too "please sir don't harm me I'm just a child with out a mother going through an adult experience" Cynthia cried while begging Kenneth that was when he assured her that he won't harm her, he told her everything the doctor said and she replied "I wish I had a mother I won't be going through all this" Cynthia said Kenneth told her not to worry that he would help her through this..
Later in the evening Cynthia was discharged from the hospital, immediately she reached her father's house she heard her dad shouting on her step mom telling her to go and look for his only child that was when they entered the scene Kenneth explain to Cynthia's dad everything that happened and how she almost lost her life the step mom replied "she should have died after all I don't care" the step mom said..

The pain from the pregnancy grew worse on the fifth month, she hardly sleep well at night...
On a Saturday morning Cynthia was sleeping due to the fact that she couldn't sleep well at night she had to sleep till day break so she could get enough sleep and strength, she was still enjoying her sleep when her step mom interrupted her as she entered the room with a full bucket of water and cane, she emptied the water on her body including her bed then used the cane and flogged Cynthia mercilessly till she couldn't bare it that was when she ran towards the compound inorder to escape being injured with the cane that was when she heard her step mom shouting , " you motherless idiot was I the only that killed ur miserable mom, or was I the bastard that got you pregnant, must u rub ur I'll date on me and my family, by the time I get back from the market let it be that you have finished with the house chores and u have full the whole rubber in this house with water for I and my husband", Tears filled Cynthia's eyes as she heard all those hurtful words from her step mom..
When Cynthia was done with the house chores, she carried a bucket to go and look for where she would fetch water that was where she met Kenneth a rich and wealthy man, he was on his way to one of his company's meeting when he saw Cynthia look helplessly and weak, he came down from his car and offered a helping hand to her which Cynthia politely decline while continuing her journey, Kenneth didn't give up he kept following her slowly with his car till it got to a point where she couldn't bare the pain both the one afflicted on her by her step mom and the pain she's going through from her unborn child, it was much on her that she loosed balance , fell to the ground and fainted.

She was able to struggle and find her way to her house, she kept bleeding till she became unconscious.
Her dad came back home around after 9 in the night and saw his daughter in an unconscious state with the blood that covered her cloth, he rushed her to St Mark general hospital not too far from their house, after so many injections they were able to bring her back to unconsciousness, that was when the dad asked of her possibility of getting pregnant the doctor told him that there's a high chance of her getting pregnant in few weeks to come...
"Doctor so u mean that my only daughter will be pregnant in few weeks to come"Mr Williams asked the doctor.. " Yes she will be pregnant so the only thing u all have to do is to prepare for the out come, I will prescribe some drugs for her she should always take it...
After 3 days Cynthia was discharged from the hospital, every parent started using her as an example to their children today you will hear a parent saying "you better take ur studies seriously, don't sleep around so u won't end up like Cynthia"...
The pain was too much for her, she had to stop her business and there was no money to pay for her fees in school she stop at the first level of senior secondary School, she couldn't further, they had to channel the money she made in her sales added with her savings they had to channel it to their feeding, she became a drop out in school at the age of seventeen...
***Week later, what the doctor told her father became true she was pregnant.. Early on morning Cynthia was sweeping the compound when she ran to go and vomit she vomited three times the father did a urine test on her and confirmed the pregnancy, that was when she felt like the world was coming to an end, the thought that kept coming through her mind is that how would I cope, I'm too young to become a mother, would I ever be a good mother, how would I feed my child, how would my child survive in this cruel world..
