Women In Management, Business & Public Service (WIMBIZ) has officially unveiled the theme for its 24th Annual Conference, which is “O.W.N: Own. Walk. Nurture.” scheduled to take place on November 6th and 7th 2025 at the prestigious Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos, Nigeria.

Speaking during the pre-event press briefing at WIMBIZ Headquarters in Lagos, Ms. Omowunmi Akingbohungbe, Executive Director, WIMBIZ call on women to OWN their story, voice, and space at the table, WALK in power, embodying courage and authenticity, nurture others, especially the next generation, through mentorship and collaboration.

The 24th edition of the conference promises a diverse agenda, including four plenary sessions, two deep dive sessions, a fireside chat, and an exciting debate. Among the plenary sessions, “The Wealth Playbook: Women, Economic Power & Sustainability, Protirement: Reimagining the Next Chapter with Purpose, Whole Woman, Whole Life: Wellness as a Journey, Not a Destination, Rethink, Reframe, Revitalize: The Power of Inter-generational Collaboration, amongst others.

WIMBIZ confirmed that its highly anticipated Annual Conference will feature an inspiring keynote from Arunma Oteh, with Hon. Justice Amina Augie Rtd., Former Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, serving as Chairperson.

Dr. Hakeem Onasanya, Director of Operations at the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF), announced that this year the Foundation is equipping its entrepreneurs with skills in artificial intelligence, an area he described as critical in today’s rapidly evolving business landscape.

He shared this while hosting outstanding MBA students from the Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, during their Africa Trek at TEF’s headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria.

The visiting students heard inspiring stories from TEF alumni and gained valuable insights into the life-changing impact of the TEF Entrepreneurship Programme.

WIMBIZ, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring and empowering women to attain leadership roles, confirmed that the landmark event scheduled to take place on November 6–7, 2025 at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, will bring together over 2,000 women leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, policymakers, and visionaries from across Africa and the globe.

According to the Executive Director, Omowunmi Akingbohungbe, the theme “O.W.N – Own. Walk. Earlier today, I had the privilege of attending the Tony Elumelu Foundation Business Clinic, in partnership with Deloitte—a powerful session designed to equip entrepreneurs with the tools, insights, and strategies to grow and scale sustainably.

📍 Venue: Heirs Place, 1 MacGregor, Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria

The clinic convened thought leaders, seasoned professionals, and passionate entrepreneurs who are actively redefining the African business landscape. Discussions explored practical solutions in business structuring, financial management, raising seed capital, and scaling strategies—all vital pillars for building resilient and lasting enterprises.

It was truly inspiring to witness the dedication of both The Tony Elumelu Foundation and Deloitte toward empowering Africa’s entrepreneurs—not only through funding, but also by providing knowledge, mentorship, and networks that spark transformation and long-term impact.

I left the session more enlightened, motivated, and equipped with actionable insights—both to apply in my own journey and to share with others in my circle. One key reminder for me was: sustainable growth requires not just vision, but structure and discipline.
