I saw Easter differently this year not because I don’t know what it meant but this year the best part of my day is when I study the Bible.

Recently, my friend told me to study Isaiah 43:1-7. It was God reassuring the Israelites that he loved them. He said he will give nations for them and then it occurred to me, God gave his son for me!!!!

His son died for me!!!! My favourite verse of the Bible is in Colossians 2: 14-15. Jesus made a public disgrace of the devil when He gave us victory on that cross.

God loves you too much. You are so important! This Easter, be reminded that you are loved.

Loosing friends and letting go!

If there is something I dread, it is friendship heartbreak. I have lost friends and I have also gained more but when I can call you my friend, you become my sister (I blame my mummy and daddy that refused to have another female child 😂)

Last year, I had to let go of a friend and it was so painful. I remember ranting to and she told me there is nothing you did wrong Onome, some relationships are seasonal.

Tobi is right but I was still hurt because this person just ghosted me.

I love my friends but I’m learning to realize that it’s okay to have fights, it’s okay to let go. It might hurt that this person does not need you again but it’s okay.

To everyone going through a friendship heartbreak, I know it hurts but this pain is not forever. God will bring new people that will take you to the next level too.

I’m not mad at my friend for letting go, if for anything I’m proud of what she is currently achieving on LinkedIn. I would still love to know why she ghosted me lol, but I know I will still give her a hug when we see.

Your life is beautiful and it’s okay to love so don’t be hard on yourself for being this loving person. You have a beautiful heart and I’m sending you so much love. You will be okay and God will never leave you stranded.

Year 5!

5 years ago my daddy held my hands and walked me down the aisle. I was scared but also excited about the journey. I had read books and listened to sermons on marriage but the truth is that nothing prepared me for marriage.

I remember our first fight, the last born in me wanted to call my mummy that I’m not doing again o 😂.

The best part is marrying a man who listens. We have had to go back for counseling and I can tell you it’s the best decision we made in our marriage. You are never too old to learn.

Here are my top 5 lessons:
1. You can’t change anyone
2. You are never too old to learn
3. Your partner is not the enemy, the devil is your only enemy
4. Don’t lose yourself
5. Trust the father’s leading, the Holy Spirit is your bestfriend.

Thank you for being the best partner and friend. Thank you for loving me wholeheartedly, thank you for being the best daddy to Reyna. I love you and here’s to 200 years more! 5 years after, I still do.

Let’s do more my love.

Only few authors get me excited when they release a new book 😂. I love reading but I love it more when an author I know writes good books releases a new book.

always gets me. She is such a beautiful writer and this book titled “A Renewed kind of love” was an exciting read.

Writing about a married couple finding love again requires some level of expertise and detailing. I’m just imagining how many hours of research went into this.

Morin and Mofe’s story is one of resilience, strength and courage. I’m so glad both of them fought for their love. I was angry with Mofe then at some point with Morin 😂. Can’t even blame her, that hurt was deep.

At the point they went to the therapist and they were unpacking, ha I was so scared 😂. messed with my emotions o 😂.

This is a beautiful read, the emotions were so raw. I have a soft heart for Keji, I hope she finds the joy her heart yearns for but girl you were mean 😜.

This is a 5/5.

I know it’s been a while I did a book review and it’s because there has been so much to do.

is a brilliant writer, each time I get to read her book, I really wonder what goes through her mind. This particular season put me on the hedge.

I felt like slapping Ijeoma, like my dear can’t you think 😂. I love the way all characters have grown. I’m so proud of Amaka and her growth.

I love that Cindy got her happy ending, my baby deserves that and more 😂

Now we wait for season 6.

Gratitude

Recently, I’m learning gratitude for the little things. It’s very easy to get worked up when things are not working. Personally, I’m angry when I’m broke 😂 but I’m learning to be grateful for those seasons because God will always provide.

Reyna’s school will vacate and I’m so grateful for a healthy term. Last term we were in the hospital back to back but watching a term pass by without visiting the hospital is a big deal.

Those things you think are not worth it is really a big deal. Each time I talk to people I realize we all have things that are not working out but it is very easy to focus on those things but there are so many things working.

Today, appreciate the small things.

Shonda Rhimes js who she thinks she is. .ng talked about this book last year and I made up my mind to read it.

I love how raw Shonda was and I love how she embraced her authenticity. There are so many layers to this book. What started as her sister asking her to say yes to going out more because what changed her life completely.

I can relate with Shonda on so many levels. As a writer you just want to be in your own space and do your thing and as a mom you just want to be there for your kids.

I love the chapter on motherhood. It’s okay to choose self and embrace help. There is no competition in motherhood. Do what makes you happy!

And oh, it takes a lot of guts to admit you don’t want marriage.

One step after the other you will make it!

This book is so good. I might have my reservations about it writing for the gay community because after watching Bridgeton it’s like it’s being forced down our throat.

It’s a 5/5 for me.

I’m on “Mummy break” and it kinda feels good! My baby is on holidays and I think it’s taking me now to realize my life has been centered around her that I forgot what it feels like been “Onome”

This is me taking a deep breathe because I have tried 😂. Shoutout to all the mummies doing life without any help, y’all are really amazing.

This is also me reminding my husband to buy me pizza tori I have tried😂.

Do I miss Reyna, a whole lot but handling a toddler is not for the faint hearted.

Hi my name is Onome. Let me tell you a little about myself.

I’ve been a content writer for about 7 years now but I recently decided to transition into tech so I took a training on product design and I promise you that I’m good!

I left my job to become a freelancer in 2021 when I got pregnant with my baby.
