PRESS STATEMENT: BY BARR KEFAS MUSA MAGAJI.
My Dear Compatriots of Bogoro, Dass and Tafawa-Balewa Federal Constituency,
As you all know, yesterday the 15th Sept 2023, the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja dismissed my appeal challenging the return and subsequent inauguration of Hon Jafaru Gambo Leko of the APC as the duly elected member in HR for our constituency.
Since the said verdict, I have received several calls and text messages of solidarity. I indeed cherish all the kind words and show of love and support.
Our current Constitution makes the Court of Appeal the final court in National Assembly election disputes.
As a Law abiding Nigerian, I accept the verdict in good faith and I implore you to so do.
I therefore want to use this platform to thank everyone that has been part of my the struggle to reclaim my stolen mandate.
I plead with you not to despair, and be as if we have no God who is all knowing or cares for us.
I appeal to all my supporters in Bogoro, Dad's and Tafawa- Balewa to support Hon Jafaru Gambo Leko being our representative at the House of Representative so that he will represent us well and attract dividends of democracy to the constituency in the next 4 years. He is no longer for APC sympathisers only, but for all the good people of Bogoro Dass Tafawa Balewa and Nigeria.
Once again, your support remains indelible in my heart.
