KEY POINTS
In Christendom there are two distincts event that will take place namely, The Second Coming of Christ and the Rapture.
The Second Coming of Christ means the visible return of Jesus Christ to the earth. Establishing His kingdom and reigning as Kings of Kings and Lords of Lords. (John 14:3, Acts 1:9)
We should be careful as believers, our knowledge of the coming of Christ is thought so that we don’t fall victim to fakes that parade and deceive men on earth
-Rapture refers the event where believers in Christ are suddenly caught up in the air to meet the lord escaping the wrath to come. The summoning up of believers to meet Christ in the air to escape the punishment that will be coming to the earth (Matt. 24:30-31)
Why is Christ Coming?
• Coming to Judge the Earth (2nd Tim. 4:1)
• Coming for the resurrection and Rapture (1st Thess.)
• Coming to establish his kingdom (Rev 21:1-4)
Things the Believers Should Do
• Believers should be vigilant, faithful, and waiting for the return of Christ
• Believers should keep themselves pure and holy (1st john 3:2-3)
• Believers should be on the service and showing the love of God (Matt 22:31-41)
• Believers should be watchful and prepared
• Believers should have the assurance of their salvation
Facts about Rapture
• It is going to be the next greatest event that will shock the world
• It is only the believers that will make the Rapture
• It is going to take place suddenly, unexpectedly without warning
• There shall be no second version of the event (1st Thes. 5:4)
• A greater percentage of Christians will be taken unaware
• The event will have no regard for titles (Matt 5:20)
• It shall be a day where the sheep shall be separated from the Goat (Matt 5:32-33)
Conclusion: As you’re this morning, have you accepted Christ as your personal Lord and Savior? Rapture is an event that will fill believers with Hope and Joy, so as we await the second coming of Christ and rapture, let us spread the gospel of Christ.
