ABIA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2.0

Do you know that this year's felabration is the 25 edition(Silver Jubilee) Nestled in Ikeja, Lagos, the New Afrika Shrine is the open-air entertainment centre established as the successor to the original Afrika Shrine founded by Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
It is run today by Fela’s family and associates and serves both as a live performance venue and a cultural landmark, celebrating the Afrobeat movement and Fela’s revolutionary spirit. The venue is recognised as a major tourist attraction in Lagos State. This year’s Felabration runs October 13 to October 19, 2025. The chosen theme is “Shakara”, an homage to Fela’s famous track and a nod to his bold, defiant style.
Events are centred at the New Afrika Shrine and also held at venues like Freedom Park in Lagos.
