I appreciate You Lord for everything you have done for me, thank You Papa for loving me.

Thank You for always being there for me.
If I begin to recount my blessings, they are too numerous to mention.

Father Your daughter is happy, thank You for Your presence in my life, protection, guidance and directions.

It's not he that willeth nor he that runneth but he that He showeth mercy.
Thank You for showing me mercy, thank You for Your grace that breaks protocols for me.

Thank You Lord, Daddy this Your daughter is grateful for giving me another chance, opportunity, day, year in my life.

One of my friends in this space OmaLicha C. Atulomah posted what resonates with me about what her daughter said when they attended a birthday party. The daughter didn't join to dance in the party because she's not familiar with it.

The MC asked if she doesn't know the trending dance on tiktok and the baby girl told him that she and her siblings are not allowed to watch anything on social media.

I commented that parents should go back to that traditional way parenting and borrow some training from them, social media is causing a huge damage in raising of kids these days.

While growing up especially in primary and secondary school, when we attend any occasion we always feel left out then because we don't know the trending things happening or even follow the trend.

My dad was very intentional about our friendship, lifestyle and all that.
We hardly go out not to talk of listening to or knowing the latest music.

Fast forward today, I followed the same pattern to raise my children because I saw the values inculcated.
I don't allow them to watch anything on my phone, I even join them to watch cartoons so as to monitor them. They don't even know what is tiktok or Facebook or any social media name.

I don't mention all these to them, when I'm at home with them, I limit my screen time until they sleep so as to give them that maximum time.

This is me being intentional raising them because I don't want to fill their young minds with something that won't build them up morally.

Every family has their own way of raising their kids up and your conviction is valid too but i believe that the traditional way by which we were raised shouldn't go in extinction.

His way is gentle and humble, offering rest for our souls.

I always look forward to Saturdays because I won't have to wake up by 4:30-5:00am to prepare meals for school.

Saturdays usually make me lazy because I have to sleep till when I'm fully ready to come off the bed to start the day's talks and corrections.
