Vi0lence Against Pers0ns (Pr0hibiti0n) Act 2O15 (VA.PP Act) is in full force in Nigeria and has been adopted by most states. The lĆ¢w makes consent central to lĆ¢wful sĀ£*xual activity and consent is continuous. It is not a one-time permission that cannot be withdrawn.

What it means is thisā€¦ a person may agree to visit you, enter your room, talk with you, hug you, or even become int!mate in other ways. But if, before pĀ£nĀ£tration, that person says, stop or withdraws consent, my guy you must exercise self control and stopā€¦ yes

Not everyone is meant to stay in your life forever and that's okay.

If someone constantly disrespects you, ignores your feelings, takes you for granted, or only remembers you when it's convenient, don't keep holding on out of fear of losing them.

Sometimes, letting go is not giving upā€¦ it's choosing yourself.

Don't beg for love, attention, or respect from someone who has already shown you they don't value you.

The moment you start valuing yourself, you'll stop settling for less than you deserve.

Always choose self worth over desperation.

Beauty may catch your attention, but character determines whether someone deserves a place in your life.

A beautiful face can hide dishonesty, pride, disrespect or a lack of self control. On the other hand, someone with good character will give you peace, respect, loyalty and genuine love.

Don't let physical attraction make you ignore the rĀ£d flĆ gs you've already seen.

At the end of the day, looks may attract you, but character is what keeps a relationship healthy and lasting.

Choose character over appearance. You'll never regret it.
