A tuition deposit is required after admission offer is received before you can be issued CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) which you need for visa.
Proof of funds
Although primarily needed for visa application may also be required in addition to tuition deposit before CAS issuance depending on the school in question. How much exactly you'll need as POF depends on your tuition balance after deducting any deposit and discounts recieved plus £10,000 if studying in a location outside of London.

• Tuition Fees: £15,000
• Discount: £2,000 (typically available for international students)
• Tuition Deposit: £4,000
Calculation for Remaining Tuition Balance:
£15,000 - £4,000 (deposit) - £1,500 (additional deduction) = £8,500
Total Financial Requirement:
• Tuition Balance: £8,500
• Estimated Living Expenses (for one year): £9,207
• Total Required Funds: £17,707
To meet financial proof requirements, you must provide a bank statement showing a minimum balance of £17,707 (or its equivalent in any currency).
If you are using Nigerian Naira, refer to the Oanda FX Converter to determine the equivalent amount, as the UK Home Office uses this for exchange rate calculations.
Formula:
£17,707 × Current Exchange Rate (GBP to NGN) = Required Amount in Naira
For a Naira account, the funds must be maintained for at least 28 days before submission for school confirmation or visa application.
