IKENGA UMUAWULU URGES ANAMBRA TRADITIONAL RULERS TO REMAIN HOPEFUL, UNITED, AND GOD-CENTERED
High Chief Dr. Christopher Ndubuisi (Ikenga Umuawulu) has called on traditional rulers in Anambra State to remain steadfast in faith, united in purpose, and committed to preserving the values that have sustained the Igbo nation through generations.
He made the call on Saturday, 27th June, 2026 while addressing the Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council at the Royal Fathers’ Retreat, organized by Dominion City in collaboration with the Global Missions Network (GMN), Nigeria, under the theme: “The Role of the Church and Christianity in the Development of Igbo Land.”
Commending the organizers for the timely initiative, High Chief Ndubuisi described the retreat as a strategic platform for strengthening the partnership between the Church and the traditional institution in promoting peace, moral values, and sustainable development across Igbo land.
Addressing the revered monarchs, he acknowledged their enduring role as custodians of culture, justice, peace, and community development, urging them to continue providing moral leadership in an era marked by rapid social and cultural changes.
Drawing inspiration from the Scriptures, Ikenga Umuawulu encouraged the royal fathers to keep their confidence in God. Quoting Psalm 121:1–2, he reminded them that true help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth, emphasizing that divine guidance remains the greatest source of strength for leaders.
He further encouraged the monarchs with the assurance of Psalm 30:5, noting that although difficult seasons may arise, “weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning,” urging them never to lose hope regardless of present challenges.
Calling for continual spiritual renewal, he referenced Psalm 51:9–12, stressing the importance of maintaining clean hearts, upright spirits, and unwavering fellowship with God as essential qualities for purposeful and impactful leadership.
High Chief Ndubuisi also declared God’s divine protection over the traditional rulers and their communities, citing Psalm 91:7–8, assuring them that no matter the challenges confronting society, God’s faithful protection remains upon those who trust in Him.
He concluded by urging the traditional rulers to remain united in promoting peace, justice, communal harmony, and the moral upbringing of younger generations, while reaffirming his confidence in the enduring relevance of the traditional institution to the growth and development of Anambra State and the Igbo nation.
Ending on his signature note of optimism, High Chief Ndubuisi declared:
“Better is not good enough, because the best is yet to come.”
