DAM Foundation Flags-Off Mega Empowerment And Outreach Program

The Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha Foundation empowerment and outreach program was designed to promote youth development and economic empowerment across communities. The initiative placed strong emphasis on ICT training and artisan skill acquisition, enabling young people to gain practical knowledge to enhance employability and self-reliance.

Participants in the ICT programme benefited from hands-on training and received laptops and other digital tools to enhance their learning and productivity. Artisan trainees were supported with essential equipment for carpentry, bricklaying, and automobile repair, helping them to establish or expand their trades.

In addition, the programme distributed a wide range of empowerment items, including solar kits, smart home solar systems, solar TVs, solar fans, and solar lights to promote access to clean and reliable energy. Beneficiaries also received bags of rice, beans, provisions and ingredients while market women and Okada riders were supported with cash and gadgets to strengthen their businesses and improve livelihoods.

The Empowerment and Outreach Program was officially flagged off by the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, alongside the Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha who doubles as the Chairman, DAM Foundation, highlighting the importance of public–private collaboration in driving youth empowerment, renewable energy adoption, and sustainable grassroots and community development.

DAM Foundation Commissions Ultra Modern Civic Centre In Okene

His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Governor of Kogi State, yesterday alongside the Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria and Chairman of DAM Foundation, Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha commissioned an ultra-modern civic and recreational complex in Okene.

The legacy project by the DAM Foundation is equipped with a basketball court, badminton court, 5-a-side football pitch, volleyball court, gym centre, restaurant, and other recreational facilities. The project is aimed at promoting community development and social cohesion. It is designed to enhance youth engagement in sports, recreation, and capacity-building activities across Okene and its environs.

The commissioning ceremony was also graced by special dignitaries which included the State Party Chairman, Abdullahi Bello, the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Salami Momodu Ozigi Deedat, the Majority Leader of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Suleiman Abdulrazak, and the Founder of DAM Foundation, Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha.
