INTRODUCING RETURN TO ROOTS CULTURAL FOUNDATION
Our foundation, RETURN TO ROOTS CULTURAL FOUNDATION, is a cultural initiative established to preserve, promote, and reawaken indigenous African heritage, values, and creative expressions across generations. Our Foundation is driven by a clear conviction that sustainable development, identity, and community pride are rooted in culture.
At a time when rapid modernisation continues to distance young people from history, language, customs, and traditional knowledge systems, we position ourself as a bridge between the past and the present, using culture as a tool for education, tourism, creative enterprise, and social cohesion.
The purpose Foundation’s work spans through cultural documentation, heritage advocacy, community-based projects, festivals, storytelling, research, and partnerships with creatives, institutions, and custodians of tradition. Our focus is not nostalgia but relevance, ensuring culture remains lived, taught, and economically viable.
Over the coming days, we will be sharing media materials outlining our vision, leadership structure, focus areas, and upcoming initiatives. These releases will provide deeper insight into our mission and the programmes designed to engage communities, especially young people.
RETURN TO ROOTS CULTURAL FOUNDATION invites stakeholders, cultural practitioners, institutions, and the public to join us as we begin this journey, one rooted in identity, responsibility, and collective memory.
