**OYO STATE NCC COORDINATOR, OKE OLUROPO, TO DELIVER LECTURE AT IBADAN INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND COPYRIGHT WORKSHOP**
The inaugural edition of the Ibadan Book Talk will address pressing concerns around intellectual property, copyright infringement, and book piracy. The workshop is set to hold on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Board Room of the Oyo State Library Board, opposite Cocoa House, Dugbe, Ibadan, starting at 12:00 PM.
The event will feature Mrs. Oke Oluropo Christiana, Oyo State Coordinator of the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC), Ibadan Office, as the Guest Speaker. She will provide expert insights on critical topics related to Intellectual Property, Copyright, and Book Piracy.
In a press release, the convener of the workshop, Mr. Wole Adedoyin, expressed enthusiasm about Mrs. Oke’s participation, highlighting her wealth of experience and significant contributions to copyright protection and enforcement. He noted that her presence would be of immense benefit to writers, publishers, and other stakeholders in the literary space.
Organized by Ibadan Book Club (IBC) in collaboration with the Redeemed Writers Network (REDNET) and Global Word Crafters (GLOWCRAFT), the event aims to strengthen literary culture in Ibadan while equipping writers with essential knowledge to navigate intellectual property challenges.
