It's a wise decision to learn from Kings, but pls don't stop there, also learn from the Slaves too.
Everyone wants to sit under the kings.
We want to hear from the billionaires, the successful people, the influential voices.
We admire their achievements, we copy their routines, we celebrate their victories.
And yes, there is value in that.
But what if I told you that by ignoring the stories of those who failed, you are missing out on some of life’s most valuable lessons?
Take a look at the story of Thomas Edison.
We know him today as the man who invented the light bulb, a “king” of innovation.
But few remember that before his success, Edison failed thousands of times.
When a journalist once asked him how it felt to fail so often, he replied: “I didn’t fail. I just discovered 10,000 ways that didn’t work.”
That is the voice of someone who had walked through failure, learned from it, and turned it into power.
His failures which serve as his “slave moments” were the very foundation of his success.
Without those failures there would be no light bulb that we are enjoying today.
Success teaches you how to rise, but failure teaches you how to endure.
Kings will show you how to win, but the so-called “slaves” will show you how to survive.
Success reveals power, but struggle reveals resilience.
The truth is that if you only learn from kings, you will know how to succeed.
But when life knocks you down, which often happens as part of growth.
At that moment, only the wisdom of those who have endured defeat will show you how to rise again.
So don’t despise the ones who didn’t “make it.”
Don’t ignore the people society labels as failures.
Their scars carry lessons no book or seminar can ever teach.
Yes, learn from kings.
But also, learn from the slaves.
Only then will your wisdom be complete.
