GOVERNOR FINTIRI URGE NYSC MEMBERS TO WORK FOR A MORE UNITED NIGERIA THROUGH HEALTHY INTERACTIONS WITH COMMUNITIES
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has called on National Youth Service Corps, NYSC members deployed to the state to cultivate healthy interaction, exchange ideas and build lasting relationships with view to advancing the progress of a united Nigeria.
The Governor made the call at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Damare, Girei Local Government Area, during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Batch B, stream two corps members.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, represented by his Deputy Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta at the induction ceremony said, "As NYSC friendly Governor that cherishes the invaluable contributions of corps members, we shall continue to create conducive environment for you wherever you are serving in the state for optimal performance."
Governor Fintiri tasked corps members to cultivate healthy interaction exchange ideas and build a lasting relationships with a view to advancing the progress of a united country as well encouraged them on skills acquisition, avail themselves for entrepreneurship training to enable them be self reliant.
He also assured them that his administration is mindful of the hard economic realities that citizens of the state are passing through, hence the provision of punitive measures to cushion the effect and urged the corps members to take advantage of it.
Governor Fintiri also advised them to reciprocate governments gesture by maintaining high sense of discipline, hard work and perseverance, by so doing they will add value to various communities they have been posted for their primary assignments.
Earlier, the state coordinator National Youth Service Corps Ateli Samson, thanked Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for his continuous support, love and passion towards the scheme, noting that the corps members remains committed to contribute to the development of the state.
