SERMON ! SERMON ! ! SERMON ! !!
Speaker: Elder Anietie D. Inyang
Interpreter: Bro. Effiong Inyang
Topic: Do not despise anyone
Text: Act 10:10-20
B/Ref: Genesis 16:4, Genesis 29:31
NOTE
To despise means to regard another person with contempt. It is to look down on another person. In Apostle Peter’s revelation, he despised the different animals he was presented with an been unholy. Figuratively, these were not mare animals, but the Gentiles, Cornelius’ household who were hungry for God’s salvation. While Peter was preaching to them, Cornelius and his household received the Holy Spirit.
God does not discriminate. He doesn’t judge like we do. The love of God is for all who are willing to identify with him. We were united with the father through Jesus’ death and resurrection.
As Christians, we are meant to associate with one another with love, cheerfulness, humility and honesty. We are to encourage one another and not discourage.
We are commissioned to go into the world and convert the unbelievers to God.Pray with those facing challenges, encourage them with the word of the Lord.
Do not mock or despise anyone because God is the God of all possibility. He is capable of changing any situation at any time. God’s divine though is that of good and not of evil to bring us our expected end.
