THE NORTH BEGS GEJ TO CONTEST AND HE AGREES!!!

I’m actually sick and tired of this so called “Northerners” and their quest for power when they are infact the very people that have ran Nigeria aground!

What’s with the obsession with power rotating back to the North at the expense of good governance and quality leadership?

If Nigeria isn’t a retrogressive country, why should anyone go and digout GEJ again to come and do what?

Because of the obsession of the north to take back the same power they’ve used to impoverish the northerners, they will go in search of anything that’s constitutionally barred to serve a single term!

What Nigerians want is good governance that’s devoid of corruption and nepotism and impunity! We don’t care if that person is a northerner or a southerner!

Only the northerners see GEJ as a viable option for 2027 based solely on their own selfish interests!

It’s the same northerners that voted goodluck jonathan out in 2015!

Are you people mad or what? How long will the south continue to dance to the bits of this seemingly braindead northerners?

Peter Obi is the chosen candidate from the south in 2027 and if you guys don’t like it, let Tinubu continue and when he’s done, a southerner will still contest in 2031! after all Atiku Abubarka contested in 2023 and still poised to contest again in 2027!

Abi una dey ment ni? Let Peter Obi contest and be given the mandate that was stolen from him by Bola Tinubu and INEC, because what happened in 2023 is no different from what BABANGIDA did to Abiola in 1993! Enough of this nonsense or divide this country and let every region go it’s own separate ways!

We can’t keep allowing a bunch of religious and tribal fanatics to keep running this country aground even for our children yet unborn!

If this kaikai drinking Ijaw man shamelessly comes out in 2027 he will be thoroughly disgraced! He better maintains his position as an elder statesman and not allow greed to disgrace him because of North’s obsession with power! Nough said!!!

IBOM AIR & THE INJUSTICES OF NIGERIA 🇳🇬

We’ve all condemned the Ibom Air female passenger who was dehumanised, but no one sees anything wrong in how the Ibom hostess handled the situation.

I have been a traveller and understand how the local airline's cabin crew treat people they feel are less human in the society.

If the young lady were a known celebrity, do you think any of the cabin crew would’ve blocked her movement out of the plane when all other passengers had disembarked the aeroplane because she didn’t turn off her phone?

Which right as a non-law enforcement agency does she have to block her movement out of the plane?

What happens to proper crisis management?

Why not allow her out while she’s reported to the security agencies at the terminal building and blacklisted if what she did warrants such?

Immediately you stop someone’s movement, the person will be panicked and can do anything to save herself, including hitting you.

Let me state it here: Airlines in Nigeria needed to borrow a good sense of services from the oyibos that taught us the business of airline services. The local airlines needed to train their cabin crew in line with international operational standards. The cabin crew needed to learn how to speak to the passengers. There are some passengers that you needed to educate; everything mustn’t be by force.

I had an experience that after a long flight to Doha and from Doha to Nigeria, boarding a local flight that was a 45-minute trip, one was shouting on top of my head 🤦🏻. I was like, Are you kidding me?

I want to state categorically that an aircraft can never crash because a phone is not totally turned off.

I understand that in order to minimise interference with navigation systems, the primary rule is that phones should be switched off or in flight mode for taxi, take-off, and landing.

During the cruise phase of flight, most airlines will allow smartphones to be fully ON or to be used in 'Flight Mode' or 'Aeroplane Mode' for non-voice functions.

In fact, on most of the occasions, especially with the BA I use frequently, you’re allowed to leave your phone in flight mode at taxi, takeoff, and landing and fully ON while cruising, as I usually purchase onboard WiFi if not in a cabin that has free access and then stay online all through my flight.

Most times, I keep myself busy in a chat app while cruising.

Setting the girl up (triggered) by the air hostess by blocking her movement when other passengers have disembarked, assaulting her in a manner she was bullied and dragged down, and stripping her naked while recording her are unacceptable in any sane country.

Believe me, she would’ve had a strong case if it were in the western world, while the airline and the air hostess would’ve paid her hugely.

Even during a fight, security operatives are meant to protect anyone involved, especially from anything that will expose their body, but in Nigeria, they help in ensuring that you are naked and recorded.

It’s totally a joke; this is one of the things found on media from Nigeria. The Westerners see us as a country with no human rights and where humans are not valued.

According to the girl, her phone was in flight mode, and this should be permitted by airlines, but even if not, what happens to a proper way of managing such a situation and getting her arrested?

Another thing I know about phones and flight is to ensure they aren’t plugged into any cable connected to the aeroplane or in any way cause any obstruction in case of emergencies during takeoff and landing.

It’s only big devices like laptops that require total shutdown at most.

I have never seen any day any rich man or celebrity is assaulted for failing to totally put his or her phone off, even when they make use of the phones all the time in aircraft.

This selective abuse should stop, and airlines and her crew should go for training on how to handle their passengers and manage onboard situations.

PRESS STATEMENT: DECISION TO WITHDRAW CRIMINAL COMPLAINT AGAINST MS. COMFORT EMMANSON AND TO ADDRESS RELATED MATTERS

1. In the last 48 hours, I have been in consultation with critical stakeholders in the Aviation Sector and those involved in the unfortunate incidents regarding the unruly behaviours of certain individuals at our airports of recent.

2. Though regrettable, we think valuable lessons have been learnt by all sides to these incidents and airport security protocol, especially, have been well highlighted for the travelling public. If nothing at all, the episodes have undoubtedly helped to raise public awareness about appropriate conduct within the aviation space.

3. As highlighted in my previous statements on the last two incidents, clear wrongs were committed by both the offending passengers and staff of the airlines involved from all the evidence available to us and those available to the public. It is clear that all the actors involved cannot continue to highlight the injury or injustice done to them without acknowledging their own equal culpability.

5. Therefore, after reviewing the entire incidents, including appeals made by well-meaning individuals and remorse shown by the actors, the following decisions have been reached:

THE CASE OF IBOM AIRLINE AND MS. COMFORT EMMANSON

(a) In the case of the unruly passenger, Ms. Comfort Emmanson, on the Ibom Airline on Sunday, the 10th of August, 2025, I have conferred with Ibom Airline to withdraw the Complaint against her today. When the Police took her Statement in presence of her lawyer, she exhibited great remorse for her conduct.

(b) Subsequent to the withdrawal of the complaint by the Complainant, the CP of Airport Command and the Police Prosecutor will immediately take the remaining steps to facilitate her release from Kirikiri Prisons within this week.

(c) I have also conferred with the leadership of the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) and have appealed to them to lift the life-time flying ban imposed on her, to which they agreed. The details of the resolution will be made public by the AON subsequently.

THE CASE OF VALUEJET AND WASIU AYINDE MARSHALL (KWAM 1)

(d) In the case of KWAM 1, the NCAA is to reduce his flight ban to a one-month period. FAAN will also work with the music star with a view to engaging him as an ambassador for proper airport security protocol going forward.

(e) Having publicly demonstrated penitence, the NCAA is also to withdraw its criminal complaints against KWAM 1 earlier lodged with the Police.

(f) In the case of Captain Oluranti Ogoyi, and the co-pilot, First Officer Ivan Oloba of VALUEJET, the NCAA is to restore their licenses after the same period of one-month ban after undergoing some mandatory professional re-appraisal. The details will be announced by the NCAA.

AIRLINE OPERATORS, AVIATION AND OTHER GOVERNMENT AGENCIES

6. I have directed all relevant Aviation agencies in collaboration with other complementary agencies outside aviation to IMMEDIATELY begin a retreat NEXT WEEK to properly retrain and prepare our Aviation security personnel on how to deal with errant and disruptive passengers and how to deescalate potentially explosive situations. The retreat will be fully covered by the Press with the opportunity to ask all the relevant questions.

7. The Airlines will also have their own session when the conduct and attitude of their staff towards members of the travelling public will be in full focus.

FINAL COMMENTS

8. These above decisions were taken by Government and the airline operators purely on COMPASSIONATE grounds as Government will never pander to base sentiments, politically-motivated views or warped legal opinions when clear encroachment of our laws are involved.

9. We are also sending a CLEAR MESSAGE that we take safety and security in the aviation sector very seriously and we have decided to draw a line after these clemencies.

Miss Emmanuelson & Ibom Air Incident.

I hate injustice in whichever form or disguise. This young lady was clearly triggered by this elephant 🐘looking air hostess! When and where are air hostesses trained or instructed to obstruct passenger’s movements, thereby holding that passenger hostage against her own will?

If something had happened between them during the flight, couldn’t she had alerted the ground staff of the incident, and from what I know, there’s a communication channel between the pilot and ground staffs of which any incident could’ve been reported and security operatives would’ve been present even before the cabin doors were opened?

From what I’ve heard from other passengers, this young lady was asked to switch off her phone and she politely told the air hostess that her phone was on “flight mode” which is acceptable! Why then must she insist that she turns her phone off? Power play?

Typical of Nigerians to abuse any position of authority that they find themselves! From this video here, everyone can see that same lady that’s portrayed to everyone as an uncontrollable wild animal politely and almost pleading with that glutton of an air hostess to move her shapeless behind away from the exit door so that she can disembark the aircraft as every other passenger has already disembarked, and she ignored her completely!

Nigerians should watch this video and see the calm demeanor of this girl compared to the angry and uncontrollable monster that we all saw. That girl only became that way after she has been dragged, stripped naked and assaulted by the cabin crew before they dragged her out!

I’ve read about so many bad reports about this particular air hostess and her rude nature and I believe every single one of them, I’m sorry! That glutton triggered the poor girl to that level of overreaction.

I can totally relate to how bad she must’ve been feeling after all they did to her inside the plane to now be surrounded by some untrained security men still making her look like the offender! I can totally understand why she lost her cool completely.

From the looks of those security men present, I don’t think any of them received any trainings on conflict resolutions strategies. Instead the lady was surrounded like some pack of wolfs about to attack and devour the girl.

Now the girl has been remanded in Kirikiri prison, and Ibom air has released a statement stating whatever version of the story that was told to them by their cabin crew exonerating themselves from any wrongdoings or culpability.

Based on this video here, Ibom Air needs to tell Nigerians if it’s the job of their air hostesses to physically obstruct or restrict passengers from exiting their aircraft. Because, as long as that air hostess isn’t a law enforcement officer, what she did here amounts to kidnapping and being held hostage.

This air hostess in this video must be relieved of her duties or be suspended or reprimanded! She must face some sort of disciplinary actions. Air hostesses must also be trained on conflict resolutions and deescalation strategies when dealing with an aggressive or hostile passengers!

That girl must be realeased from prison and allowed to go home with a warning! Or else, the Nigerian government, the NCAAC boss Festus Keyamo must also arrest and prosecute Adams Oshiomole, Kwam1 and the rest, and let not try to use this girl as a scapegoat while those that physically obstructed an airline from taking off are sitting at home comfortably!

Every Nigerian must be equal before the law! Ibom air also should investigate the behaviors and actions of their cabin crew members as in regards to this particular incident and others. It’s unprofessional for their staffs to disrespect their passengers or aggravate them. My take!
