These two teenage boys who k€lled 10-yrs-old ismael in an uncompleted building have been sentenced to Life.

The High Court yesterday the 25th Oct. 2024 convicted two teenagers charged with the murd€r of 10-year-old Ishmael in Kasoa. The crime occurred in April 2021. Nicholas, who was 18 at the time, was sentenced to life imprisonment, while the 15-year-old will be sentenced by a juvenile court.

The murd€r was driven by a misguided belief in ritual wealth. The younger accused was influenced by a video promising riches in exchange for GH¢5,000 and human blood. That's the victim.

They lured Ishmael to an uncompleted building with a fake promise of a video game, where he was brutally âttacked & buried ãlive, ultimately dy!ng from asphyxiation.

This happened four years ago but they were not in the appropriate age to go to jail. So, they spent several years in a correctional facility until they turned 18 to receive the appropriate sentence. The older one of the teenagers who committed the crime was 15yrs when it happened.

The other teenager is yet to be sentenced yet, because he's not old enough.However, he will most likely face the same fate.

Begin gradual withdrawal of old notes from circulation ahead of December deadline – Reps to CBN

The House of Representatives has directed the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN to begin the gradual withdrawal of the old notes from circulation before the deadline of December 31, 2024.
The resolution of the House followed the adoption of a motion of urgent national importance on the need for CBN to sensitize Nigerians about the non-legal tender status of old naira notes from January 1, 2025, moved at the plenary on Thursday by Hon. Afam Ogene.
