I REJECT EVIL INHERITANCE
WHAT IS EVIL INHERITANCE?
1. Definition
Evil inheritance means negative patterns, covenants, or consequences passed down through family bloodlines from one generation to another.
It can be spiritual, emotional, physical, or even behavioral — and it usually originates from sin, idolatry, or curses in a person’s ancestry.
In simple terms:
Evil inheritance is when the battles, sins, or curses of your ancestors continue to affect your life — until you break them in Christ.
2. Biblical Understanding
In the Bible, we see that sin and consequences can flow from one generation to another if not broken.
Exodus 20:5 – “...visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation...”
Lamentations 5:7 – “Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities.”
2 Kings 5:27 – Gehazi’s greed brought a generational curse: “The leprosy of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed forever.”
But thank God for Christ!
Galatians 3:13 – “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law…”
Ezekiel 18:2-4 – God says, “The soul that sinneth, it shall die,” meaning every person can break free from ancestral iniquity through repentance and faith in Jesus.
3. Examples of Evil Inheritance
1. Inherited Sickness: Diseases or conditions that seem to run in the family (e.g., diabetes, early death, barrenness).
2. Inherited Poverty or Failure: Every generation struggles financially, never rising above a certain level.
3. Inherited Character or Behaviour: Anger, lust, fear, or addiction patterns seen across generations.
4. Inherited Spiritual Covenants: Dedication to idols, marine spirits, or occult foundations through forefathers.
5. Inherited Marital Delay or Broken Homes: A pattern where marriages fail or no one stays married.
4. Spiritual Meaning
Evil inheritance operates through bloodline covenants, demonic legal rights, and spiritual transactions made by ancestors.
As long as these covenants remain unbroken, the enemy can claim access to descendants.
That’s why deliverance and renunciation through the blood of Jesus are powerful — because they cancel every evil legal right and restore divine inheritance.
5. Good news! Freedom Through Christ
When you accept Jesus, you gain a new spiritual bloodline — the bloodline of Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:17 – “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature…”
Colossians 1:13–14 – “He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son.”
So, through prayer, confession, and faith in Christ, a believer can reject evil inheritance and receive divine inheritance — health, peace, prosperity, favor, and righteousness.
WARFARE PRAYERS:
I Reject Evil Inheritance
1. Thanksgiving & Renunciation
Scripture: Psalm 103:1–5
Prayer:
** Father, I thank You for the blood of Jesus that speaks better things than the blood of Abel. This morning, I renounce every evil inheritance in my bloodline, in the name of Jesus.
** Every hidden covenant, curse, or pattern in my father’s or mother’s house, assigned to limit my destiny, I reject and renounce you now, in Jesus’ name!
2. Breaking Bloodline Curses
Scripture: Lamentations 5:7
“Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities.”
Prayer:
** Every inherited curse of failure, barrenness, poverty, and delay operating in my life, I break you by the power of the Blood of Jesus!
** I command every evil transfer through the bloodline to be nullified now by the blood of Jesus!
** Every altar enforcing ancestral evil inheritance—catch fire now, in the name of Jesus!
3. Reclaiming Divine Heritage
Scripture: Ephesians 1:11
“In Him we have obtained an inheritance…”
Prayer:
** O Lord, restore to me my divine inheritance in Christ that has been stolen or exchanged by household wickedness!
**Every power contesting my godly inheritance, be silenced by fire in Jesus’ name!
** I take back my blessings, my virtues, my glory, my destiny, and my peace — by the blood of Jesus!
4. Rejecting Familiar Spirits & Patterns
Scripture: Isaiah 8:19
“Should not a people seek unto their God? For the living to the dead?”
Prayer:
** Every familiar spirit following my lineage, break and depart from me now!
** Every repeated pattern of disappointment, sickness, and delay — you shall not continue in my life!
** I cut off every ancestral linkage to idolatry, witchcraft, or marine inheritance, in Jesus’ name!
5. Establishing Freedom and Blessing
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17
“If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature…”
Prayer:
** I am a new creation in Christ; therefore, I reject every evil inheritance from my past, my father’s house, and my mother’s house!
** The blessings of Abraham are my portion, not the curses of my forefathers!
** O Lord, let the covenant of life, favor, prosperity, and divine health speak for me from today!
** By the blood of Jesus, I walk in my divine inheritance of victory and dominion, in Jesus’ name!
DECLARATION OF FAITH
I decree this morning:
You are free from ancestral bo***ge.
The blood of Jesus separates you from every evil lineage.
I remove your name from every demonic family register.
I decree you shall inherit glory, not shame; blessing, not curses; progress, not stagnation.
In Jesus mighty name. I pray.
Say this by yourself:
I reject evil inheritance, and I claim my divine portion in Jesus’ Name! Amen!
