CEO of Satbona Construction Company Hon. Amb. Prince Saturday Iyoha extends his warmest congratulations to H.E. Sen. Monday Okpebholo and Deputy Governor Hon. Dennis Idahosa on their victory today, the 10th of July 2025, at the Supreme Court in Abuja.
The Supreme Court upheld H.E. Sen. Monday Okpebholo as the legitimate and indisputable winner of the September 21, 2024, Edo State gubernatorial election.
According to the Supreme Court, Okpebholo of the APC is the rightful winner of the gubernatorial election, and the rulings of the Court of Appeal and the Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal remain enforceable.
Mr. Asue Ighodalo, the appellant, did not bring any pertinent witnesses to support his allegations that there were irregularities in the election. The majority of his proofs are heretical and inadmissible in court. A court needs testimonial, documentary, real, and demonstrative evidence in order to prove or disprove facts in a case. Mr. Asue Ighodalo was unable to support his argument because he lacked these kinds of proofs.
Hon. Amb. Prince Saturday Iyoha, who is fondly referred to as the iron chair, in a statement released stated, 'H.E. Sen. Monday Okpebholo is an undisputed champion. He was tested at the court of appeal, at the tribunal, and at the Supreme Court. He won all. That makes him both a winner and a champion.
The Iron Chair also stated that Okpebholo has come to Edo State's rescue. He believes that the elected governor will develop all aspects of Edo State. He is a hard-working governor. He has been working since the day he took office, inspecting various projects to make sure Edo is secure and advanced. "Edo is in good hands." He said.
People swarm the street to celebrate Okpebholo's Supreme Court victory. Some PDP supporters claim that the governor is already doing what we need him to do. 'We are not complaining.' They said.
