Reality TV’s Favorite Social Experiment Returns: Love Is Blind Sets Denver Debut for Season 9
It’s almost time for viewers to head back into the pods.
Netflix has officially confirmed the return of its hit reality dating series Love Is Blind, with Season 9 set to premiere on October 1. For the first time in the show's history, the emotional experiment will unfold in Denver, Colorado—adding a new regional flavor to the dramatic quest for love.
Hosted by longtime duo Nick and Vanessa Lachey, the series places singles in isolated pods where they date and form connections—without ever seeing each other face-to-face—until one decides to propose. After that, the real test begins.
Speaking to E! News, Vanessa Lachey teased that this new season could deliver one of the most unforgettable moments yet in the franchise. “Something happens in Denver that has never happened on any of the Love Is Blind seasons,” she hinted back in May.
Without revealing spoilers, Lachey explained that the Denver cast brings a unique vibe that will set the season apart. “The beauty of Love Is Blind being in different cities each season is that you get the character of that season, that city, and what comes along with it,” she said, pointing out how regional culture often influences participants' priorities—whether it’s faith, career, or lifestyle. “So you can imagine what Denver's gonna be—I’m gonna let you guys write that script.”
Over the years, Love Is Blind has seen its fair share of success stories and heartbreaks. While fan-favorite couples like Lauren and Cameron Hamilton (Season 1) and Daniel Hastings and Taylor Haag (Season 8) have gone the distance, others have stumbled along the way.
Season 6’s Chelsea Blackwell and Jimmy Presnell are a prime example. Despite a promising start in the pods, their relationship faltered quickly. Chelsea’s viral comment about resembling actress Megan Fox sparked intense social media backlash—even drawing a reaction from Fox herself, who said the criticism had gone too far. Meanwhile, Jimmy admitted on camera that he felt misled about Chelsea’s appearance, a moment that ignited widespread debate about beauty expectations and honesty in dating.
Months later, Chelsea embraced the controversy with humor. “Now, it's just gonna be a joke, and I will never live it down,” she told E! News in a follow-up interview.
With Season 9 just around the corner, all eyes are on Denver to see if the city delivers more lasting love—or more unforgettable drama. Until then, fans can gear up for a new lineup of reality TV and documentaries debuting this month across streaming platforms.
From Netflix’s Trainwreck: Balloon Boy and Amy Bradley Is Missing, to Star Trek: Strange New Worlds on Paramount+ and The Summer I Turned Pretty on Prime Video, July offers a wide-ranging buffet of entertainment for every taste.
And of course, there's plenty more on the horizon—from shocking true crime tales like The Furry Detectives to nostalgia-driven documentaries such as Billy Joel: And So It Goes. Whether you’re in the mood for heartfelt romance or high-stakes survival, streaming services are pulling out all the stops this summer.
As for Love Is Blind Season 9—mark your calendars. Because if Vanessa Lachey’s hint is any indication, this might just be the wildest chapter yet.
