BREAKING: Super Eagles Gets New Head Coach

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed former Super Eagles winger Finidi George as the new head coach of the nation’s senior men’s national team.

The announcement came in a statement on Monday, with the NFF Board approving the recommendation of its Technical and Development Committee to hand over the reins to the 52-year-old former Ajax Amsterdam and Real Betis forward.

"After 6yrs of childlessness i adopted a child but now i have my own babies, i see no need keeping the child anymore

We visited several hospitals for our childlessness but all confirmed, we were both very much ok. But i still felt empty without a child, so, i approached my husband with the idea of adoption while we hope & pray for God to bless us with ours, he reluctantly accepted & we did, 2 months later i finally got pregnant, our awesome God blessed me with a set of twins, 2 very cute boys.

So, It's been a year,
To be honest, I'm starting to regret why we adopted the boy, i really wish i could wait just a little bit longer, it's obvious that God had already had plans blessing me with my twin boys.

Seing my husband more attached to someone els's child we do not even know more than his own biological kids gets me worried, i feel a-n0yed watching him show so much care, love & attention to the boy who isn't even ours..

I know i wouldn't be able to love this boy as mine, i mean, I don't see the need keeping him any longer, i now have my own kids to take care of, i can't have my babies compete with a total stranger for their own biological fathers love & attention, he's 3 whole years older than my babies, he might just grow & start feeling entitled to what rightfully belongs to my kids. I'm only but a mother whom is looking out for her children

I plan on returning the boy or giving him up for adoption without having issues with my husband whom is more attached to him, but i don't know how, pls how do i go about this, i beg some guidance.."

I got a call this morning about this young boy. His picture was sent to me, and the message below

" His name is Destiny Udoh, from ikot Otu in Akwa-Ibom; he came to Lagos in a truck, he said his parents wanted to beat him and he ran into a truck which moved unknown to him it landed in lagos. He's a pupil of Independence high school Ukana"

If you know his parents or relative, kindly call this number ( 0803 678 4333 or 0802 374 9427).

We are trying to have him transported back to Uyo from lagos, the mother's number he gave isn't going through. I believe the parents are desperately looking for him as we speak.

A few concerned and good hearted persons saw him wondering the nukes and crannies of Lagos metropolis and opted to pick him up, feed, house and then called three days after he'd been seen crying without hopHello, beloved people of Akwa Ibom State.

Mummy Zee: NNPC gifts N200,000 voucher to lady mocked for cooking for husband at 4:50am

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited, NNPCL, has donated a N200,000 voucher to a lady identified as ‘Mummy Zee’ after some netizens mocked her for waking up to cook for her husband at 4:50 a.m.

The lady, in an earlier post on X, tweeted: “I’ve always been too lazy to wake up and get his lunch ready. But the day he told me a colleague brought two spoons so he’ll eat with her was the day I set my alarm for 4:50 a.m.”

Her tweet generated mixed reactions from users. Some questioned why she had to wake up that early to cook. But others hailed her for her exceptional wife duties.

The lady has also got over N2 million in donations from individuals on social media.

After her tweet went viral, the NNPC joined other lists of donors offering her a voucher redeemable at any retail station in the country.

The tweet reads: “Hello , we love your amazing love story. And we would like to gift you a free ₦200,000 PMS voucher. (It is) redeemable at any of our 900+ retail stations nationwide.

“This will ensure that Mummy Zee has and . We have just followed you. Please check your DM. Best wishes.”

To re-dedicate the State to God and mark the commencement of a new year, the Akwa Ibom State government is set to host the 2024 New Year Service.

The Inter-denominational Service with the theme - "Arise and Shine" drawn from the book of Isaiah 60:1 is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, 2nd January, 2024 at the International Worship Centre, Uyo, by 10am.

To enable residents participate in the spiritual exercise, the State Government has declared Tuesday, 2nd January as public holiday.

To this end, His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno, cordially invites all well-meaning citizens of the State, including top government officials, the political class, senior citizens, the business community, royal fathers, clerics, the women, youths, students, and indeed the entire people of Akwa Ibom State to the solemn occasion.
