Do you remember how you felt when you finished secondary school?, The few months you stayed?. You were excited that you’ve finished secondary school, as the days went by, you started feeling tired, lonely and sometimes down. All your secondary school friends were no more around you, the only thing that gave you that joy was you preparing for the university, you still had a long way to go in life.

Now, you’ve entered the university, you’ve made new friends, and you’re done with University. Like when you were done with secondary school, loneliness will set in, no more waking up to classes, seeing your friends and staying jiggy around campus. The only thing that’ll be giving you hope will be your preparation for NYSC.

Now, after coming back from NYSC, you’ll notice you’re getting really older. You’ll look around you and the only thing you have is your certificate, and maybe a pre knowledge skill on how to sew dresses without money for startup.

Now, the truth in most cases is, we don’t like to embrace the reality, but if you’re someone that likes to embrace reality and take action, this stage after NYSC will be when you’ll know if you’ll be using your certificate or not, if Education is for you or not.

Now, this time, you’ll know why Nigeria has the highest number of unemployed youths in the world with a staggering 33.3%. the few employed youths battling with a minimum wage of N30,000 a month. If you want to go to the labor market with your B.sc certificate, with connections, you can get a job for N50-100k per month, without connections, you can be picked as a teacher In Tower of Ivory schools for N37,000 per month, working everyday.

I took 6 months to do a deep research on this. You can also go and verify . I have six siblings who are done with NYSC, two with a first class, but I put it to you that none of them are using their certificate.

I called about 90 of Uniuyo and Aksu old students from 012 to 015 to ask them how life is with them, 90% of them began with “omorrr”.

I just feel students should be educated on the truth outside the university, so they should really prepare their mind, embrace truth, brace up and drop all the false hope.

Behind every “I thank God for a successful POP”, there is a “Where do I even go from here”.

All the hurt and pain that we go through in life sit well with us cause

We are human, fragile and weak
Our hearts break and our souls weep
We feel pain and sorrow so deep
And sometimes it seems like it will never sleep

We love and we lose, we try and we fail
Our dreams are shattered, and hope sets sail
We stumble and fall, our spirits frail
And often wonder if we’ll ever prevail

We hide our scars, we put on a brave face
But inside we’re hurting, struggling to keep pace
With the world around us, and the relentless chase
For happiness, for peace, for a better place

We long for someone to hold us tight
To tell us everything’s going to be alright
, with a heart that’s bright
We push through the darkness, searching for light

And in the midst of the chaos and strife
We find moments of joy, small rays of life
That remind us there’s more to this than just strife
That there’s beauty and love, waiting to be revived

So we hold on tight, against all odds
To hope and faith, to the power of love
For in these things, we find strength and resolve
To keep going, to fight, to never dissolve

And as we sail on, towards a brighter tomorrow
We know that the journey may be filled with sorrow
But we’ll keep moving forward, with hearts unburdened and light
For we are human! .

In the darkest depths where shadows creep,
The night unveils its secrets, so deep.
Whispers of anguish, pains that abound,
Evil prowling in the silence.

The moon hangs high, a pale, somber face,
Casting a pallor upon this dark space.
It illuminates the path of despair,
Where tormented souls roam, caught unaware.

In this realm, demons dance with delight,
Feeding on anguish that shrouds the night.
Their wicked laughter echoes through the air,
Leaving chilling despair.

The stars, like distant tears, twinkle above,
Witnessing the suffering, unable to move.
Each flickering light carries a tale,
Of those consumed by darkness and frail.

Aching hearts seek solace in the gloom,
As sorrows deepen, sealing their doom.
But in this abyss, a glimmer may arise,
A beacon of hope.

For even in the night’s embrace,
There exists a strength, an unyielding grace.
From the depths of pain, resilience is born,
In the face of evil, the weary shall adapt.

So fear not the night,
For within the darkness, strength can be found.
Let it fuel your spirit, ignite your might,
And conquer the pains with eternal light.
