NAIS STAKEHOLDERS' FORUM LAUDS IKONO COUNCIL BOSS OVER PROJECTS CONSTRUCTION

..Distributes Free Nose Masks To Traders Against Novel Covid-19 Pandemic
The National Association Of Ikono Students' Stakeholders Forum, College of Education, Afaha Nsit Chapter, has poured encomiums on Executive Chairman of Ikono Local Government Council, Hon. Itoro Columba, for his magnanimous strides to facilitate a modern market and standard Car park in Oduk community.
The stakeholders extended their words of commendation to the Ikono Chief Executive at the construction site in Oduk, ward 2 during on-the-spot assessment tour by the Forum to confirm the level of work ongoing there and to partner with the development in the area.
The Forum hinted, that the council helmsman had by that decision, engraved his name in gold both on the hearts of the people and sands of time, saying that the benefitting villages of the two wards: 2 and 3 can never forget this trans-generational twin project in a hurry.
Speaking while inspecting the twin project by the members of the group, the chairman of the Forum, Comrade Akwaima Ekanem, extolled Mr Columba for his numerous achievements in Ikono, and pledged their undivided support for him on behalf of others.
According to him, "It is our position as natives of the area to request the blessings of the Lord upon you for being our great leader, and for recording another overwhelmingly magnificent giant strides, plus many others which he has facilitated as seen in strategic locations at different communities".
"From good authority, the rapid and quality job at the site is second to none; we have been briefed by contractors on the standard maintained here and we are equally convinced over the superior products used. As an icon of development, we believe the project will soon be completed by the council boss", he stated.
On hand to receive the Stakeholders Forum, was the Chairman of Obo Urban Market who doubles as the Personal Aide to the council boss, Akparawa Pat Willie.
He commended the sterling desire exhibited by the visiting members of the group, whom he described as "lovers of fantastic performance" and promised to convey the message to his prilncipal.
Mr Willie, while expressing optimism over completion of the twin project on time as specified, banked high confidence on his boss' ability to push it to the end.
Pat asserted, that there were many other completed projects like borehole water, donation of transformers, 2-bedroom apartment for ward 2 widow which he timely completed, adding "I will like to state confidently that the projects initiative of my boss is excellent; he would spare no extra time on completing them. Let's rather thank my boss for this decision to give the area a car park and market respectively. I will ask you to support the council boss in this fight against underdevelopment which he remains an enemy to".
He further explained, "the operational routes to the park include; Ikono to Uyo, Ikono to Ini LGA, Ikono to Ikot Ekpene, Ikono to Eket, saying that the market is well-located".
Responding on behalf of the traders, the market women leader, expressed delight for unwavering love which the Forum has shown by donating free masks and requested the blessings of the Father upon them.
In his vote of thanks, the Forum PRO, Comrade Michael Joseph, prayed for the light to continue shinning in the area. He also thanked the market chairman in his effort to keep the market and its environs clean.
The Stakeholders Forum later proceeded to Obo Urban market accompanied by the market chairman, for NCDC precautionary measures awareness to ameliorate the spread of Covid-19 pandemic around the premises.
