Restrained; As GROUP Wades Into A'Ibom Political Feud
..Forum of Social Media Administrators & Influencers' Position:

The Forum of Social Media Administrators and Influencers, Akwa Ibom State has met at its Secretariat, over the recent malicious tales, making the rounds in social media, with mischief and desperate propaganda aimed at misleading members of the public and creating discord among Akwa Ibom Statesmen of repute, the incumbent Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno PhD, and his benefactor, the immediate past Governor of the state, Deacon Udom Emmanuel and the Senate President, His Excellency, Dr. Godswill Akpabio.

A statement issued by the Forum disclosed that, the Forum yesterday, waded into the political feud, and called on all loyalists to these Statesmen to sheath their sword, embrace peace and see themselves as one Akwa Ibom.

While calling on the opposing loyalists to bury their hatchet and embrace peace, the Chairman of the Forum, Comrade Bassey Samuel Jnr, stressed the need to imbibe a culture of cherishing and respecting our leaders.

Giving details of what transpired at the meeting, the statement noted thus; “putting the elections season in view, the Chairman called on members of the public, friends, supporters and loyalists to Pastor Umo Eno, Deacon Udom Emmanuel and Obong Godswill Akpabio to remain calm and law-abiding with confidence and maturity.

According to him, Akwa Ibom State is one united entity, widely acclaimed to be a peaceful state. Stressing that, no amount of orchestrated discord will make outside world believe otherwise, neither will it distract Akwa Ibom people from their collective resolve to live as one people, as they consolidate on the gains of democracy already recorded in the state.

"Akwa Ibom is one family, hence, our intervention. Our desire is to put our state in the right track, as we call on all our sons and daughters to come together, and work together to atualize the envisioned Akwa Ibom project”. Comrade Samuel Jnr has advised.

Continuing; he said, “every person must let go what may have happened, and let God". Stressing that, “all that has happened is politics”, saying “often, God can use propaganda to announce men, make them popular”.

While apologizing on behalf of everyone who have, one way or the other involved in using sensational titles or headlines to spread false or fabricated news, or distorted, offensive news to score cheap political goal, Comrade Samuel called on all Akwa Ibom people to rally around Governor Eno, and his second term aspiration, so that he can continue to bring the dividends of democracy to the people of Akwa Ibom State.

"To all AkwaIbomites, I want to plead with you all, to cooperate with Governor Umo Eno. We should learn to respect our leaders”, he pleaded.

“We want to assure everyone both in Akwa Ibom and outside Akwa Ibom that, we will always work together as one people. And as the 2027 general elections approaches, we as a people , AkwaIbomites are giving our total support to the President Bola Tunubo, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio and Governor Umo Eno’s second term bid”, Comrade Bassey Samuel has pledged.

The Assistant Secretary of the Forum of Social Media Administrators and Influencers, Joseph Athanasius, who read the details of the Forum position, said; "our position is that, Akwa Ibom people must embrace peace, and remain as one united family".

‘Stop Insulting the Intelligence of A’lbom People’: Group Warns IAI

The attention of the Forum of Social Media Administrators and Influencers has been drawn to a recent malicious and ill-concieved press released, issued by a so-called Socio-political group in Akwa Ibom State, lbom Akwa Ibom (IAI), titled; "APC Primaries: Group Accuses Gov. Eno of Lying, misleading Party Members ...says Eno keeps speaking from both sides of the mouth", and copied to the GUIDE NEWSPAPER.

According to IAI, Governor Umo met behind close door with the Senate President, Senator God'swill Akpanio and select National Assembly and State House of Assembly members in the State last Sunday, at Senator Godswill Akpanio 's resilience in Uyo.

“We are worried that Governor Umo Eno keeps changing like a chameleon. He says one thing today, and acts something else tomorrow. Why should Governor Eno keep speaking from both sides of the mouth? Eno is so unstable to be a leader. At this point we are forced to ask Governor Eno, what is pursuing him to make him so unstable?

"lt is equally worrisome that among the acclaimed stakeholders surrounding Governor Umo Eno, non of them is courageous enough to tell the Governor the truth. They keep praising the Governor even when the governor is straying from the right path," IAI stated in their press release.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Forum of Social Media Administrators and Influencers, Akwa Ibom State, Comrade Bassey Samuel Jnr, the forum categorically condemned the IAI press release, describing it as a calculated mischief, designed to sow discord among the people of Akwa Ibom, and create enmity between His Excellency the Governor and the political class in the state.

"This is an outright falsehood, this is scandalous and shocking for people to take delight in misleading members of the public with repulsive and provocative statements", the Forum argued.

“While calling on the Socio-political group, to desist from spreading false, fabricated, distorted, and offensive information, the Forum however, warned lAl, to stop insulting the intelligence of the Akwa Ibom people.

“Governor Umo Eno PhD, is a man of high standard repute, a man of his words. He is characterized by integrity, self-respect, and a commitment to better the lots of his people", and should not be dragged to the.mud.

"It would be recalled that Governor Umo Eno had insisted during his 62nd birthday party celebration last Friday that all aspirants seeking for elective positions in 2027 election must be given opportunity to test their popularity and acceptance by their people during the APC primary”. The Forum has said.

We, therefore, appeal to the members of the public to note this rebuttal”.

THE THREE AKWA IBOM SONS DESERVE LANDSLIDE VICTORIES — Rt. Hon. Udo Kierian Akpan

The International Coordinator of the ARISE with Renewed Hope Initiative, Rt. Hon. (Sir) Udo Kierian Akpan, on Tuesday, declared that the trio of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno should secure nothing short of resounding victories in the 2027 general elections.

He made this assertion while receiving the Forum of Social Media Administrators and Influencers, Akwa Ibom State, during a courtesy visit to the group’s International Headquarters in Ewet Housing Estate.

“The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is our son; because when a man shows you consistent love and support, he becomes family. He and the Governor should command no fewer than one million votes from the people of Akwa Ibom. In the same spirit, the Senate President; who has provided exceptional legislative stability for the country and stood as a fatherly pillar of support to the State, ought to be returned unopposed. This is the least token of appreciation for their tireless and selfless service to the nation and to our dear State,” he stated.

Earlier, the Forum, led by its Chairman, Comrade Bassey Samuel Jnr, commended Governor Umo Eno PhD for what it described as unprecedented, multi sectoral, high impact interventions, including over 1,300 kilometres of roads either constructed, ongoing, or completed; more than 500 ARISE Compassionate Homes already delivered to vulnerable citizens, or at various stages of development; the strengthening of Ibom Air with a fleet of nine aircraft; and the ongoing upgrade of Victor Attah International Airport to full international status, with its inaugural flight taking off to Ghana, May 2, 2026. The Forum also highlighted the construction of the ARISE Resort, a multi-functional tourism complex, and the development of a Maritime Hub in Oron, among other landmark projects.

It pledged its commitment to partnering with government to amplify its policies, projects and programmes, while also serving as a bridge for public feedback. It emphasized that beyond diligent governance, public perception remains crucial to continued harmony and peaceful development; arguing that performance must not only be visible but must also be perceived, seen, understood, and trusted by the people. In this regard, the Forum affirmed that a structured and well oiled media like itself, is indispensable to shaping accurate public opinion.

The Forum of Social Media Administrators and Influencers comprises professionals from orthodox media, public relations, and social media influencers, with over 53 membership tag media team cutting across all 31 local government areas of Akwa Ibom State.

FAMILY MOURNS MOTHER'S EXIT, ANNOUNCES FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS

The family of Late Snr. Deaconess Eno Umoh Johnson has announced the transition to glory of their beloved mother, sister, and grandmother Late Snr. Deaconess Eno Umoh Johnson (Aka Eka Over De Bar), who until her death was a devoted member of Christ True Mission, Area 2, Afaha Offiong, Nsit Ibom LGA, Akwa Ibom State.

As they come to terms with their loss, the family has announced that the funeral arrangements to bid farewell to their cherished matriarch, who passed on at the age of 73, will hold at her country home in Afaha Offiong.

A statement by the family reveals that the funeral arrangement began on Tuesday 10th March 2026, with the opening of mourning house at the Family Compound, Afaha Offiong, Nsit Ibom LGA.

Service of Songs to be conducted at the deceased compound, Afaha Offiong on Wednesday 11th March, 2026 by 5pm while PMAN Night will hold on Thursday 12th March, 2026 by 8pm till dawn.

Further rundown of the funeral arrangement reveal that on Friday 13th March 2026, a friends' night is scheduled to hold at the deceased Family Compound, Afaha Offiong.

On Saturday 14th March, the funeral service will hold at the deceased compound, Afaha Offiong and will be conducted by Christ True Mission Area 2, Afaha Offiong, Nsit Ibom LGA by 10:00 am prompt.

The family has extended invitation
to everyone and called for prayers as they pay their last respect to their departed matriarch, late Snr Deaconess Eno Umoh Johnson.
