Weeks passed, and Tricia’s savings grew—slowly, like seeds pushing through dry soil. One morning, she walked to the market with a new kind of determination. The coins in her wrapper jingled softly, a rhythm of promise.

She bought a small wooden table, a few tins of milk, sugar, and soap. By afternoon, her hut had transformed into a tiny shop. Children came first, curious and smiling. Then women stopped by, asking for salt or matches. Each sale, no matter how small, felt like a victory.

At sunset, Tricia sat outside again, watching the sky blush with gold. Her hands were tired, but her heart was light. The dream she had whispered for years was now real—fragile, but alive.

She looked at her hut, her shop, and the road that had carried her through struggle. “This is just the beginning,” she said softly. And for the first time, she believed it completely.
