The sermon titled “Take Heed: How to remain faithful and finish well” was preached by Deac. Peter Ekpenyong, with texts from Psalms 1:1-2, 2 Corinthians 9:20 and Hebrew 13:8

The sermon emphasized the capability of maintaining a daily work with God. Detaching yourself from God means you are dead in the spirit.

Studying the scripture on a daily basis and having a time of prayer daily was stated as a step to having a successful end. Don’t rely on the fellowship you had the previous day because everyday needs an invitation from the Lord. During the day consciously obey God. No matter how terrible your day went always find time to thank God at the close of the day.

The sermon also highlighted Proverbs 10:23 teaching Christians to guard their life. Stay connected to the body of Christ and not to ignore the gathering of the brethren.

The main takeaway is to set your eyes for Jesus and remember that every plant cut off from the tree will wither away.

The sermon, titled “Know What You’re Doing,” was preached by Rev. Ephraim Uwatt, with texts from Genesis 25:27–34 and Genesis 27:1–4.

The sermon emphasized the importance of being intentional and thoughtful about our actions and decisions. What may seem unimportant today can become something we desperately need tomorrow, as seen in Esau, who exchanged his birthright for a meal because he valued his immediate hunger over his future.

The rebellion of Korah, Dathan and Abiram in Numbers 16:1–4 also reminds us that careless actions can have serious consequences. Conversely, Deuteronomy 31:7–8 shows that our actions today can position us for greater responsibilities and blessings tomorrow.

The examples of Judas Iscariot and Rahab further demonstrate how our choices can influence the direction of our lives. Our past or present situation does not have to determine our future; deliberate decisions can change our course.

The sermon also highlighted Proverbs 10:3–5 and Proverbs 21:5, teaching that our lifestyle and financial decisions matter. Careful planning, diligence and deliberate effort contribute to stability and prosperity, while careless living can lead to poverty.

The key takeaway is to think beyond today. Value what you have, consider the consequences of your actions, and make deliberate decisions because what you do today can shape your tomorrow.

What are you carrying?

Sometimes, we get so used to carrying certain things that we forget we were never meant to carry them alone.

The fear.
The guilt.
The worry.
The hurt.
The unforgiveness.

You may not be able to change what happened, but you can decide not to let it keep weighing you down.

God is not asking you to figure everything out before coming to Him. Bring it as it is.

“Cast your burden on the LORD, and He will sustain you.”
— Psalm 55:22

Lay it down at His feet.

Not tomorrow.
Not when you have everything figured out.
Today.

Take a deep breath. Pray about it. Release it to God. And trust Him with what you cannot carry.

You don't have to carry it alone. 🕊️

Today, we gathered as one family to worship, praise, learn, fellowship, and encounter God. From the lifting of our voices in worship to the powerful moments in the Word, we are grateful for all that God did in our midst.
Indeed, there is nothing like being in the presence of God with fellow believers. Every smile, every prayer, every song, every word, and every moment captured today is a reminder of God’s goodness and faithfulness.
As we step into a new week, may the grace we received today remain with us. May God's Word guide our steps, His presence go before us, and His favour speak for us wherever we go.
Thank you for worshipping with us!
Until we meet again, keep the fire burning, keep trusting God, and keep walking in His purpose. 🔥🙌🏽
Happy Sunday from the entire church family! 🕊️❤️

A vessel's true value isn't just in how it looks, but in what it carries.

Vessel of honour, vessel of dishonour, or an empty vessel—which one are you?
May we be vessels filled, prepared, and useful for the Master's purpose.
