𝗜𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗼 𝗜𝗯𝗼𝗺 𝗟𝗮𝘄𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗜𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗼 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗜𝗜 𝗣𝗗𝗣 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
The PDP unit coordinators in Ibiono Northern II, today September 5, 2023 received the PDP candidate for Ibiono Ibom State Constituency seat in 2023 elections at Ikot Nya Ono, Ibiono Ibom LGA.
While welcoming the lawmaker and his entourage, the former chairman of Ibiono Ibom Local Government Council, Pastor Joseph Udoh made it clear that Obong Godwin Ekpo remains a blessing to Ibiono Ibom, describing him as one of the most reliable politicians in Akwa Ibom State.
In his remark, the Vice Chairman of Ibiono Ibom Local Government Council, Hon. Nsikanabasi Ukobot, poured encomium on the lawmaker and assured him of their votes.
"we will support you because of your laudable achievements on public service", Ukobot submitted.
On his part, the Councillor representing Ibiono Northern II, Hon. Elijah Uwak said: he's still a member of the PDP, and he cannot sojourn with anyone to YPP, recalling that it was PDP that gave him the platform to be known in Ibiono Ibom. He also declared his unalloyed support for Obong Ekpo's second term bid.
Other speakers, such as the Chairman, ward 8 Elder's Forum, Barr. Joseph James; Secretary of the forum, Akparawa David Essien; the PDP chapter woman leader, Mrs. Affiong Ikpeme; Pastor Effiong Obong, Mr. Bassey Bassey, all spoke in the same vein, appreciating Obong Ekpo for strides in human empowerment as an employer of labour, and also assured the lawmaker of their unalloyed support and dedication.
Earlier, a member of EkeminiAbasi Campaign Organisation, Elder Emmanuel Ekanem recounted Ekpo's achievements in his first three years in office, thanked God and all those who worked tirelessly in ensuring Obong Ekpo's emergence as PDP flag bearer for Ibiono Ibom State Constituency seat.
Responding, the chairman, House Committee on Education in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and the PDP candidate for Ibiono Ibom State Constituency seat in the 2023 election, Rt. Hon. Godwin Ekpo appreciated them for always standing by him and the party, since his entrance into the House of Assembly, describing PDP as the only political party in Nigeria with a good reward system.
According to him, he was in the race to attract more dividend of democracy to ibiono Ibom.
"I have tried my best as a first term lawmaker. As I have always said, I'll never shortchange what belongs to the constituency, and in this regard, I have done everything necessary including getting out of the box to ensure quality service delivery. I have facilitated employment for our youths in various ministries and parastatal", Ekpo said.
Speaking further, the lawmaker said, in his desire to fill in the gap in terms of infrastructural development, he's attracted 1.5km road to Ibiono Ibom, which is still under construction; renovate some primary and secondary schools in the Constituency; empowered many youths through skill acquisitions and other regular empowerment programmes.
“I have done it before and I am set to do much more. I am here to seek your support and your votes for all PDP candidates: myself for House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ime Okon for House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey for Senate and Pastor Umo Eno for Governor in the forthcoming general elections”, Obong Ekpo, submitted.

Stephen Charles; former Supervisor, Mr. Inyene Udeme; immediate past President, Ibiono Southern Youths Association, Prince Inem Thomas; ward 2 PDP Secretary, Prince Effiong; ward 1 PDP Youth Leader, Mr. David Okon; ward 5 PDP Secretary, Mr. Udo Archibong; Comrade Peter Peter, Engr. ToroAbasi Ekerette, amongst others.
