MY EXPERIENCE WITH A KEKE DRIVER YESTERDAY
On my way back home to go visit my mom, I chattered a tricycle (Keke). We bargained on the price & later agreed on 5k.
At a point, I told him he could pick passengers that there's no problem. As if a trumpet was blown for passengers to come line on the way, he picked and dropped them. I was happy for the opportunity I offered him.
While driving the cool breeze made my children to sleep off. Not too long someone alighted and I carried my my child who was standing with the feeling of sleep, to the seat.
The driver slowed down to pick another passenger, so I told him my child is asleep that he has occupied some space which may not allow another passenger to come in. Boooom, the Keke man got angry it shouldn't be because of the common 5k that I'll pay that makes me to behave that way. I told him that I chattered the Keke with intentions for us(me and my children) to have more space Incase they sleep. He kept on shouting and asked me to get down that if he'd wanted to load the Keke he would've had more than 5k. I was broken and regretted. Two passengers begged I shouldn't mind him and that it's not good for me to get down at that hour ( 7.00pm).
Since I don't have the nature of talking much, I kept quiet and yielded to the advice.
As he's still talking on me, he slowed down again to pick another passenger. We adjusted and the passenger patiently managed the seat.
We got to my destination. I removed the 5k and gave him. He looked at me and said: IM VERY VERY SORRY BY THE WAY I TALKED TO YOU. PLEASE FORGIVE ME. No problem, I responded. He thanked me and drove off. The way those words sank into my heart makes me feel and think that if only we can accept our faults when we are wrong and apologize, the world will be a better place (no violence, revenge and all what not).
Don't let pride rob you of the opportunities and God's blessings.
Forgive one to another that your heavenly Father will forgive you.
