The Honourable Councilor representing Ndiya/Usung Ikot Idaha INEC Ward 8, AKISIEC Ward 9, Ikono LGA, Hon Emem Frank made a stop by the General Hospital, Ikot Ekpene as he swung into action and cleared the hospital bills of one of his constituents, Mr Talent Francis Obot.

Mr Obot is a native of Ikot Enua village, Ikono LGA.

Tuesday, 22nd December 2025, witnessed the Ikono Legislative Council in session.

The Leader of the Legislature began by expressing gratitude to God for preserving the lives of all Honorable members to attend the last plenary session of 2025.

Hon. Emem Frank raised a motion during the plenary session, requesting the clerk to write to the Executive Chairman, Rt Hon. Otobong Essien, to release the Ward Constituency Project funds, which were allocated in the 2025 annual budget estimate of Ikono Local Government Council and for which contracts were submitted to the Chairman's desk.

The house agreed and stated that if the Chairman fails to comply with the contract, the 2026 budget will not be accepted for presentation.

After thorough discussions and debates by Ikonians, a motion for adjournment was moved by the House Majority leader, Hon. Chris Udo of Ward 2, and seconded by Councilor representing Itak Ward 12, Hon. Anthony Archibong.
