Yesterday was our Ekpe day in the village, and I haven't visited village in about 10years. We had lots of crowd at the market Square and too much fun, lots of families were present and no violence was recorded. Suddenly I sighted a woman who kept a small table selling groundnut and pineapple, I got to her table and I saw udara. I asked her if it's Nwannu(meaning sweet udara) she boosted that it's very sweet, if it's not that she will refund me, I took one and I got stucked🫣. I stood dea and bought for 1k, shared among my brothers and we all went back to buy more. The business woman part of me sprout out immediately I asked her as I took her chair and she told me she buys the tree and sells off under 1month. AHH, how come I didn't know this happens right in my village 😙.
I tried to know who she is, to shock you, this woman speaks my native dialect o and she's from Akwa ibom living with her husband and children in my village🙉. A village we are leaving to go find greener pasture is a place she staying to make thousand's weekly. After she told me how much she makes from 3 udara tree I was in awe🫣 .
I tried to find a tree to buy she said it was already late as I can only buy around mid year.
I was so happy that I had to exchange contact with her. And today am talking business with her and more we will. I visited my village to have fun but ended up doing business.
