Thanks for everyone that has reached out, my WhatsApp has over 700 unread messages, my iG dm is filled up. I’m good, I’ve gone through all the 5 stages of grief, yesterday was TOTAL ACCEPTANCE & surrendering.

To be sincere I just wanted to have plenty money & just inspire people with my life & writings, I didn’t even want to be famous. I dunno if you understand 🥹Because the worst thing that can happen to you is to be broke & famous😂

And after seeing all the perks that comes with fame, especially with people having an opinion, not being able to be free because everyone is just ready to criticize & all.

Your life basically being in public scrutiny.
I rather just have money & be balling, than people knowing me, and that’s why most times I just want to be behind the scenes, I just want to sit by a corner, reading my book & minding my business.

But then again how does a non vocal person inspire? You just need to be out there but try & control the noise. That’s why sadly I don’t really talk about certain aspects of my life no matter how vocal I am.

Lately I wanted to check into a hotel, I got in and all the rooms were booked, I quietly worked out & drove out, checked into another & shot my contents. That evening I got a message on my Facebook Messenger & the receptionist in the first hotel drops a message apologizing that there is was no room but that anytime I need to check in I should let her know !!!

I was quiet & shocked at the same time.
There’s no hiding place again🤡
I will find another alternative for my matters 😌

Every platform has their own unique Mode of operation.
One thing I have learnt as a creator is to try out different content styles & then know what works for each.

When I decided to build my teektok page from less than 200 followers 5 months ago; I didn’t know what kind of content I should post there & so I decided to taste the waters.

The first thing I did was secure my account
Two factor authentication ✅
Then I proceeded to update my bio✅
Then I started trying to hit their monetization rules, reaching 1k followers ✅
Having a particular video reach ✅
Being on the app for over 90 days or so✅
Then I was now eligible to be gifted during my live sessions but yet I didn’t go on live❌

Then I started dancing small it had ❌ engagement
I started using funny audios & filters after all that’s basically what everyone on the app does it still had ❌ zero engagement.
Then I started using trending audios❌ zero engagement still

I didn’t understand the hashtag system so I didn’t even bother using it ❌
Neither was I tagging anybody..❌

Then I said maybe I should just be myself & not try to fit in, cos everytime I did it wasn’t working & so I started posting my natural voice overs ✅
I started sharing my recipes ✅giving value
I started my storytelling vlogs✅ I call them “wholesome vlogs”✅
I started creating long & entertaining videos content✅using my voice
I started writing longer captions✅

Even when I didn’t understand the community I focused on building it, I have over 70 viral videos on teektok the highest is almost getting to 1M.
I’ve had my recipes have lots of shares in thousands.

Yet I haven’t done; follow the gifter tap tap tap,..
Recently I started thinking of how I can make money on that app I then realized it’s either through influencing or actually learning how to go on live.

At first it was scary & strange but the first day I went for just 5 mins & I made 2$😂😂
Anyways I’ve built a following of 50.6k in less than 5 months & the secret is;

In January/February I know the different levels of pain I was feeling from my stomach to my friends demise, Zimorah called me every single night😊 she listened to all my rantings & hurtings.

The day she told me about how she lost her younger sister that was also her energy pillar, it really broke me, and I decided to always support her.

This woman has paid for my content class over 3 times just because she wants to keep hearing my voice motivating her everyday.

It takes over 3 weeks before I decide to do road trips.
For me to enter the road lmaoooo it cannot be money motivated it has to be passion/ love motivated.

I have a strong phobia for Nigerian roads & any road that has trucks & tankers.. I’m always feeling as if the tanker will fall lol

As at yesterday night I still wasn’t sure I will show up..

In April 2020 I decided I would finally follow my cooking passion; we had a meeting as a family in my dads Office & he said he wants us to not just have degrees but also a skill / hand work or business.

With the current situation in the country we need to have other sources of income, this was me sitting on the couch in his office looking deep into his eyes & thinking about what I can do

I had zero savings I only had beauty currency😏
So I decided to get a pen & paper & write out a few things;
I need I was a gifted writer / storyteller
I need I loved cooking it was my hobby
I new I enjoyed teaching

But I didn’t know how to incorporate this all; I decided to start showcasing my talent on LinkedIn & that’s how I built 12k followers in few months even tho I’ve abandoned the app for 2 years now.

Then I realized I wanted more; I need something that gave me income everyday so I looked at instagram & I decided I would focus there & build my portfolio for 2 years but then what value would I bring?? I decided to start my cooking business.

The first person I mentioned it ever to; actually said it won’t sell, I don’t have any certifications, I didn’t attend any culinary school in London😂Anyways I started regardless..

But then I new selling food alone was too stressful, the income wasn’t worth the stress, I added foodtrays,& potsized meals & event catering.

But then my teaching & writing dream was fast going extinct & then I fell in love with CONTENT CREATION. That was just the clarity I needed.
Everything else started falling in place.

Today I can cook, I can tell stories, I can write, I can pitch, I can teach, I can influence, I can coach, I can create, I can inspire, I can train, I can sell, I can market.. All because I found the perfect trajectory.

It’s best to start off niching down, and then grow beyond any niche that you can actually fit into any role ;
