As part of our monthly CSR, Advocate Broadcasting Network, in partnership with Passion 94.5 FM, today, Saturday, August 30, 2025, carried out a cleanup exercise at Atan Offot, Uyo LGA.

Activities included clearing and desilting of gutters, tree planting at the community hall, and award presentations with gift prizes to outstanding workers.

In attendance were Obong Dr. Prince Ikim, Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Environmental Protection and Waste Management Agency, and Comr. Nsibiet John, Chairman of NUJ Akwa Ibom State.

Delta State Police Command has arrested four officers filmed in a viral video counting bundles of cash inside a patrol vehicle, a scene that sparked public outrage nationwide.

Police spokesperson Bright Edafe confirmed the arrests in a statement on Tuesday, disclosing that the officers, including two senior personnel, were identified and brought before the Commissioner of Police.

According to Edafe, the senior officers have been queried, while the two inspectors are currently detained and awaiting an orderly room trial.

At the TICAD9 Conference in Yokohama, President Bola Tinubu reiterated calls for comprehensive UN reforms, emphasizing that Africa deserves two permanent seats with veto power and additional non-permanent seats, in line with the Ezulwini Consensus and the Sirte Declaration.
