πŸ“Έ Understanding ISO in Videography

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is a fundamental component in videography, controlling the camera's sensitivity to light. Here's a breakdown:

ISO measures the camera's sensitivity to light. A lower ISO (e.g., ISO 100) means the camera is less sensitive to light, while a higher ISO (e.g., ISO 6400) means it's more sensitive.

How Does ISO Affect Your Footage?
- Low ISO (100-400): Best for bright lighting conditions, resulting in clean and noise-free footage.
- Medium ISO (800-1600): Suitable for average indoor lighting conditions, with minimal noise.
- High ISO (3200-6400): Often used in low-light conditions, but may introduce noticeable noise or grain.
- Very High ISO (12800 and above): Typically used in extreme low-light situations, but may result in significant noise and degradation.

Tips for Using ISO in Videography
- Use the lowest ISO possible: To minimize noise and ensure the best image quality.
- Adjust ISO according to lighting conditions: To maintain optimal exposure and image quality.
- Be mindful of noise: High ISOs can introduce noise, so use noise reduction tools if necessary.

By mastering ISO, you can capture stunning footage in various lighting conditions and take your videography skills to the next level.

VIDEOGRAPHY VOYAGE DAY 1

As expected, I was so excited to receive my first lecture from the legendary Mr Faith Etuk.

To be honest, I have never enjoyed a class the way I did today, I feel maybe it just hits differently when you're implementing what is being taught or maybe the zeal he uses to teach, I'll definitely go for the former.

Guess what?...I was able to set up the tripod ( if you laugh 😏)
Before now, I thought it was something you'd just erect, as far as it is standing properly, I got to find out there was more(shame wear me face cap πŸ˜‚)

Fast forwarding to when I learnt some editing tricks, this is where it gets interesting.
You have to be an obsessed creative to survive in this niche because why will my brain feel like it was immersed in acid, on a "DAY ONE(1)?!"😩

There's something about video editing that tickles my fancy, it just helps you bring into reality that creative imagination from the inside

I am really excited that I began this journey and I can't wait to stretch myself beyond limits I never thought I could.

I'll drop a video of one of the things I learnt today in the comment section,it's called stop motion, I used to think it was magic, until I did it, with some little help of course, although it's not perfect but it was definitely worth the try, you can drop reviews, I'll definitely respond.

Meanwhile, follow for more exciting updates, I'll be more than willing to share😊
