SIG NEWS!

Project Update: The "Light-up Jechira" initiative by Rep. Engr. Sesoo Ikpagher of Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency continues as the 5th batch of solar streetlights arrived the Constituency last weekend and was received by Hon. Mofa Nyiyongu.

Distribution and installation across different settlements of Vandeikya and Konshisha Local Governments are currently ongoing.

Hon. Engr. Sesoo's "Light-up Jechira" initiative is aimed at providing light to communities, especially those without access to the main electrical grid β€” thereby enhancing economic activities and guaranteeing safety of the locals.

International Youth Day 2025: Rep. Engr. Sesoo Ikpagher Describes Youth as Energy and Enthusiasm of Every Society.

The Honourable Member representing the good people of Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency, Hon. Engr. Sesoo Ikpagher sends a warm message of celebration of youthful energy and its positive impacts in the society to Jechira youths on the occasion of this year's International Youth Day (IYD) 2025.

The Federal Lawmaker celebrates and commends youth, particularly Jechira youths, for their conscious efforts towards development of Jechira land and beyond.

He adds that the hard-work, creativity and innovative abilities of youth are a driving force that gives energy and enthusiasm to every society and generation; concluding that the youths of Jechira are an incredible youth.

Rep. Sesoo Ikpagher Bids Farewell to Late Mr. Abraham Akav as the Deceased was Laid to Rest today in Konshisha LGA.

Earlier today, the Honourable Member representing the good people of Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency, Hon. Engr. Sesoo Ikpagher joined many other sympathizers to pay his last respects to late Mr. Terhemba Abraham Akav, elder brother to one of his Aides, Hon. Noah Yaji, whose remains were laid to rest at his country home in Mbashia, Mbayegh/Mbakyer Ward of Konshisha LGA.

The Federal Lawmaker was warmly welcomed by youths and women of Mbayegh/Mbakyer, who chanted songs in expression of their vote of confidence in his representation, as they led him to a seat at the funeral home.

In his condolence message, Rep. Ikpagher expressed his share of grief with the bereaved, sympathized with them over the loss, urging them to take solace in the fact that it's God who gives and takes, even as he prayed God to grant the bereaved the fortitude to bear the loss as well as grant the deceased eternal rest!

Speaking to the people of Mbayegh/Mbakyer Ward, the Honourable Member thanked them for their continued support and prayers, assuring them of more dividends of democracy to be provided.

In response, the family as well as the people of Mbayegh/Mbakyer expressed their appreciation to Hon. Engr. Sesoo Ikpagher for the projects facilitated to their ward, notably that of a block of classrooms at LGEA Primary School Udele, recently completed, saying they were confident more was achievable. They prayed God to open more doors for the Honourable Member and keep him in good health for continued development of the Constituency.

World SIG Day (WSD) 2025.

The World SIG Day, 8th August is the day to commemorate the conception and birth of the SIG Project, works, achievements, impacts in people's lives and its prospect.

This year's anniversary, we celebrate, not just the idea, but the achievements the project has recorded, the lives of Jechira people it has positively impacted, the development strides recorded in Jechira communities, the sustainability of the goals and the bright future that lies ahead.

The SIG Project is now a testimony to the fact that, though human thoughts and ideas may seem to be amorphic, when people crowd around them, perspiring with determination, courage and grit, they turn into reality and a world is created, not just for those who believe and follow, but for even many others uncountable.

Today, we celebrate not a mere idea or graphic creation, but physical achievements: numerous bills sponsored at National Assembly, cutting edge education-infrastructure at different Jechira schools, numerous solar-powered boreholes at different settlements of the Constituency, hundreds of solar streetlights across the Constituency,

Provision of agricultural incentives to farmers, empowerment of youths, young men and women digital entrepreneurship development training and funding, women entrepreneurship development training and funding, scholarships for Jechira students at different levels of education, aid to individuals and households and much more.

All these results wouldn't have been possible without the collective acceptance and full participation by Jechira people in this project. So, even as we pray God to grant for the leader of this project, Hon. Engr. Sesoo Ikpagher more strength to carry forward this work, we appeal to the good people of Jechira for continued support and prayers for more success to be recordedβ€”going forward! Jechira must Succeed. Jechira must be Great!

Project Update: This is LGEA Primary School, Udele, Mbayegh/Mbaikyer Council Ward of Konshisha LGA, a block of classrooms built to completion, one of the many projects facilitated by Rep. Engr. Sesoo Ikpagher of Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency.

This is clearly a testament to the fact that Hon. Engr. Sesoo Ikpagher’s commitment to the development of Education-infrastructure and possibly adding value to education, through ensuring the provision of convenient teaching and learning environment, can't be overemphasized!

Women Empowerment: Rep. Sesoo Facilitates a Two-Day Entrepreneurship Training, Empowers Trainees with Cash.

In continuation of his efforts in human capital development, the Honourable Member representing the good people of Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency, Rep. Engr. Sesoo Ikpagher, in partnership with Federal Cooperative College, Oji River facilitated and successfully conducted a Two-Day Entrepreneurship Training and Empowerment for Women across Jechira Federal Constituency.

The two-day training and empowerment programme which took place at Club House, Korinya in Konshisha LGA began on Monday, 21st July 2025 and ended yesterday, Tuesday 22nd July, 2025, recording a huge success; with many women from all across Vandeikya/Konshisha properly trained in the areas of entrepreneurship development, Cooperative knowledge and vocational training as well as supported with kick-off cash.

Addressing the women on the importance of entrepreneurship development, the lead consultant, Dr. Timothy Aikyor alongside Dr. Terzungwe Atser both spoke extensively on the targets areas of financial freedom, selfreliance, and employment status to be achieved with the training.

On his part, Rep. Engr Sesoo, ably represented by his Senior Legislative Aide (SLA), Engr. Bem Adzaagee urged the trainees to put to good use the knowledge acquired from the training, adding that, as home managers, the knowledge of management economics wouldn't just put them on the path to financial freedom but also better their chances of managing their homes.
