Isoko North Chairman Visits Ozoro Abattoir, Calls for Improved Sanitation
The Executive Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Council, Hon. (Elder) Prince Godwin Ogorugba, has paid an inspection visit to the Ozoro abattoir, where he called for greater cleanliness and proper maintenance of the facility.
During the visit, Hon. Ogorugba stressed the need for strict adherence to hygiene and environmental standards to protect public health and ensure that the abattoir meets acceptable sanitary regulations.
He urged butchers, traders, and other stakeholders operating within the facility to take collective responsibility for maintaining a clean and organized environment. The chairman assured them that the council would provide necessary support to enhance operations at the abattoir.
Hon. Ogorugba also announced plans to renovate the abattoir, including the construction of a perimeter fence to improve safety and overall standards.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to promoting public health and environmental sanitation across Isoko North, the chairman noted that the council would continue to prioritize initiatives aimed at improving community hygiene and living conditions.
