Isoko North Chairman Visits Ozoro Abattoir, Calls for Improved Sanitation

The Executive Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Council, Hon. (Elder) Prince Godwin Ogorugba, has paid an inspection visit to the Ozoro abattoir, where he called for greater cleanliness and proper maintenance of the facility.

During the visit, Hon. Ogorugba stressed the need for strict adherence to hygiene and environmental standards to protect public health and ensure that the abattoir meets acceptable sanitary regulations.

He urged butchers, traders, and other stakeholders operating within the facility to take collective responsibility for maintaining a clean and organized environment. The chairman assured them that the council would provide necessary support to enhance operations at the abattoir.

Hon. Ogorugba also announced plans to renovate the abattoir, including the construction of a perimeter fence to improve safety and overall standards.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to promoting public health and environmental sanitation across Isoko North, the chairman noted that the council would continue to prioritize initiatives aimed at improving community hygiene and living conditions.

Pascal Emeluaha, the majority leader of Isoko North legislative Arm, Hon Victor Oghounu, the supervisor for works Isoko North Local Government Amb Oghenero Alakpodia Egwu, APC Chieftain, SA to the Chairman, Comr Erero Oloku Engr. Samuel Alukuziwe, Head of Personnel Management (HPM) Isoko North, Mrs Irene Onwodi, the Treasure of Isoko North Council, HRM Queen Fejiro Ogbogbo, DOP to the Chairman Isoko North Council Comr Jude Ogwologho among others today paid assessment visit to the ongoing one-week special environmental sanitation exercise along Ozoro Owhelogbo Road Urude-Ozoro community, Delta State.

The residents along Ozoro Owhelogbo Road sing praises of the Chairman for elevating them from their Long time flooding through the evacuation of the drainage in order to make the water flow to the Owhelogbo canal or bridge.

‎Hon. (Elder) Prince Godwin Ogorugba, pays condolences visit to the family of Late Hon. Victor Asasa.

‎The Isoko North Council Chairman, Hon. Godwin Ogorugba today Wednesday 29th October, 2025 paid a condolence visit to the family of Asasa over the passing of their Son, Uncle, husband, father and grandfather, late Hon. Victor Asasa, immediate past Chairman Isoko South Local Government Area.
‎
‎ During the visit, while commiserating with the family of the deceased, Aviara Community and the entire Isoko South Local Government, he urged them to be consoled by the legacy of service and honour that their late father left behind.
‎
‎He described the deceased Late Hon. Victor Asasa, as an epitome of selfless service and urged the family members, Isoko South Local Government and sympathizers to take a cue from the deceased’s life of selfless service to the community and to humanity, noting that since death is inevitable, people would only be remembered for whatever they did or stood for while on earth.
‎
‎Hon. Ogorugba maintained that isoko Nation would miss late Hon. Victor Asasa, who until his death was dedicated in working for the development of Isoko South and beyond, adding that, the late former chairman gave his best to the entire Isoko Nation and assisted many people to climb the ladder of success.
‎
‎He urged the family to continue to uphold the good name that the deceased successfully built during his life time, praying that God should grant late Hon. Asasa place of repose.
