I can't do it alone,' Korra Obidi calls out ex-husband for not paying child support

Korra Obidi, the Nigerian dancer, has taken to social media to call out her ex-husband, Justin Deanfor, for allegedly failing to pay child support.

In a video clip, Obidi accused Dean of not contributing financially to the care of their two children.

She further added that shouldering the financial responsibilities of the two children is difficult and urged him to play his part by paying his half.

She said in a mixture of pidgin English. “Health care, nothing, food, nothing; I am asking for nothing; all I am asking from you is for you to play your part because all on me is too much; e go choke.

Athena is almost joining and imagining If I have to pay all of them together by myself, this fight e no go fit end like that.

And all the people saying free school, come to LA and look for free public school and see where your child would end up, not for my June and Athena.

The place I put them is not the most expensive; there are more expensive ones.

There is one that I wanted June to go to. If I were the only one paying for that one, by now I probably would be in the middle of the street dancing to pay for that one because it is not cheap.”

She left home on the 9th to Oct to go about her daily activities. She got a call from an Aunty at Eastern by-pass to go deliver meat at her cousin's place at Harmony Estate Eloizu and that was her last known location.

She called at 6:31pm that she was about to leave for home but never got home. Her line was unreachable until it became switched off.

She was wearing a white jumpsuit that had a black polka Dots, she wears glasses and was on corn rows hair style with her normal hair.

She was carrying her bag and all her IDs and a Phone.

26-year-old Kano man celebrates becoming a US citizen three years after he married older American woman

A Kano man, Suleiman Isah, who married an American citizen, Janine Reimann, has become a US citizen.

Isah was 23 years old when he got married to Reiman, 46, on December 13, 2020.

The couple met on Instagram 10 months before their wedding.

Mrs Reiman, a chef based in Lindon, California, subsequently flew into Nigeria for the wedding ceremony which was held at Barracks Mosque Panshekara.

In May 2023, Isah announced that he had joined the US Army.

Taking to his page on Thursday, October 26, 2023, Isah celebrated becoming an American citizen.

"Alhamdulillah, I am grateful to served in the world strongest military. Thanks to the United States military for giving me the opportunity to serve and become a citizen of the United States of America. I am now an American," he wrote.

Lagos Seals Eatery For Illegal Remodelling

The Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority has sealed up a branch of The Place Eatery on Herbert Macaulay Way, Yaba, Lagos.

This was disclosed in a statement on the official X handle of the Lagos State Government on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the eatery was sealed over the weekend for
remodelling of their premises without obtaining permit from the authority.

It further added that the seal-up was carried out by the LASPPPA General Manager, Kehinde Osinaike, in conjunction with the LASPPPA District Officer in that area and some other staff of the authority during a monitoring exercise for enforcement in the axis.

While sealing the premises, Osinaike explained that the action became necessary after notices issued to the organization went unheeded.

He further stated that the LASPPPA is committed to zero tolerance for illegal development in the state.

Lagos state police command declares popular Nigerian punter, Killaboi wanted months after he confessed to kill!ng his girlfriend on social media

In a series of posts shared on his Twitter handle on July 17, killaboi claimed he “mistakenly” stabbed his girlfriend after they got into an argument.

She was reportedly missing for days until her mother went to Killaboi’s house at Oral Estate in Ikota area of Lagos state to look for her. Prior to Augusta, missing, her mother had tried to reconcile her and her boyfriend over an issue they had.

Killaboi who cried about messing up his life at 26 in Instastory posts he shared, promised to ensure his late girlfriend gets justice as he can’t live with the guilt. He however disclosed that he ran away after kill!ng her out of fear. He has been jn hiding since then

The police have now declared him wanted.

Court sentences police officer Drambi Vandi to d£ath for k!lling lawyer Bolanle Raheem

Justice Ibironke Harrison of a Lagos State High Court has sentenced police officer, ASP Drambi Vandi, to d€ath by hanging for k!lling lawyer, Barrister Bolanle Raheem,.

Vandi had shot Mrs Raheem d€ad in the presence of her husband while returning from church on Christmas Day December 25, 2022 at a Police checkpoint in Lagos.

Delivering judgment on Monday, October 9, the court found the suspended Police Officer guilty of the Christmas Day k!lling of the lawyer and sentenced him to d£ath by hanging.

A middle aged woman identified as Mrs. Bose Odunayo, has reportedly committed s¥icide in Ondo State over her husband's side chick.

It was gathered that the incident occurred in Igoba area of Akure, the Ondo State capital.

According to the state-owned newspaper, the mother of four reportedly drank h€rbicide after receiving a threat call from one of her husband’s concubines who claimed she got pregnant for him.

It was learnt that drama ensued when the victim’s family suddenly brought her co**se from Akoko for burial at her husband’s residence in Akure, where r!tuals were performed before the co**se was later bur!ed.

A source told publication that the deceased who drank the substance in her residence around Igoba area of Akure, immediately headed to her home town in Ifira Akoko, to inform her parents that her husband would cause her untimely d£ath as a result of his womanising.

According to a family source, before the deceased gave up the ghost, she said her husband's concubine accused her of being responsible for the miscarriage she had.

Another source close to the family told the publication that sometime in 2021, the woman had attempted s¥icide by taking the same substance, but for the quick intervention of her husband who rushed her to a private hospital for treatment.

However, luck ran out on her this time as she took the h£rbicide when her husband was not around.

The husband who is a member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, in Akure said his late wife took the substance and travelled to her parents’ town in Akoko, only for him to hear the news of her demise.

“My wife claimed she was the one taking care of all the bills in the house including payment of the children's school fees which actually was not true because she was a full-time house wife,” he said.

Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) marketers have raised alarm over the lightness of the product in some retail outlets, saying it is inferior to the quality the Nigerian Midstream and Upstream Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) approved.

According to the marketers, some of the petroleum products imported to Nigeria evaporate and don't last long.

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), National Vice President, Mr. John Keke Ocha, made the revelation at Natural Oil and Gas Suppliers Association of Nigeria (NOGASA) National Executive Council (NEC) in Abuja.

According to him, lack of adequate legitimate domestic refining of petroleum has paved the way for the importation of different products to meet consumer needs.

He said:

“The prayer of this house is that government must look inward to ensure our refineries are put to use to create room for reduction of these high petroleum products importation as we are saying today.

“A lot of people don’t use their vehicles again. If you put N20,000 or N30,000 fuel in your car, before two days the thing is gone. I don’t know whether it is evaporating. “Sometimes, I ask myself what has happened to the N30,000 fuel that I bought yesterday. The thing (fuel gauge) has started showing red.
“I don’t know if the type of product we have is no more like the original product that we used to get.

“This is because the competition has made it convenient for importers to get very light and all kinds of product to the country. And we accommodate it because we don’t have alternative.
“But if we produce it in this country, we will have choice. If we produce in this country, we will select. If we produce in this country, it will make it even more competitive and cheaper.

“That is the prayer of this house: the government must look inward and make life easy for people by making sure refineries are put in place to function.”
