Kylian Mbappé & Vini Jr. were racially abused during the match against Real Oviedo. It happened on at least two occasions. ‘Monkey noises’ were heard first when Kylian Mbappé scored the first goal, and they were repeated when Vini Jr was subbed on. (AS)

Vinícius Jr was already being booed and insulted by the Oviedo fans while still sitting on the bench… 🤐⬇️

He comes on, wins the ball back, and sets up Mbappé to seal the game. ⚡️⚽️

But during the celebration, the referee suddenly shouted at Vini to “GET OUT OF THERE!” — thinking he was about to confront the fans.

That fired Vini up, and he began shouting back at the ref. Since he was already on a yellow, it could’ve ended really badly… 🟥⚠️

Luckily, Mbappé rushed straight over, grabbed him, and calmed him down — literally saving him from being sent off. 🤝

🚨 Vini Jr has never played against Real Oviedo, no history with that team, but their fans still abused him and booed him all night long, even when he was on the bench.

♨️ From whistles and chants of “You fool, you fool…” to a bottle being thrown near him, the Brazilian was constantly provoked. He responded with gestures to the Oviedo fans after assisting Mbappe and then shut them up completely after scoring at the end.
