Story Time
When a lie goes too far
Something happened in my area last week that honestly left me speechless.
A married woman with five children told her husband she was going to church. The husband had told her he was going to the mechanic to work on his car, and immediately he left, she left the children behind and went to a hotel to meet another married man who also had children.
Sadly, things took an unexpected turn when the man reportedly died while they were together. The woman raised an alarm, the hotel management contacted the police, and that was how her husband eventually found out where she really was.
When I heard the story, I was deeply shocked, not because people don’t make mistakes, but because some decisions can have consequences nobody expects.
My advice to both married men and women is simple, respect your partner and protect your family, if you feel your marriage is no longer working, it is better to walk away properly than to do something that could bring shame, pain and consequences to you, your spouse and your innocent children.
Marriage may not always be easy, but when things go wrong, there are better ways to handle them than deception and betrayal.
Crazy things are happening.
