WARRI FEDERAL 2027: MULADE TAKES GRASSROOTS CONSULTATIONS TO EGBEMA KINGDOM

The National Democratic Party (NDP) House of Representatives flagbearer for Warri Federal Constituency, Chief (Comrade) Sheriff Blessing Mulade, has visited Egbema traditional leaders to seek their blessings and support ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The visit took place on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the residence of the Tonkepa of Egbema Kingdom, Chief Matthew Teimo, in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State.

Addressing elders and chiefs, Mulade said he approached the traditional institution out of respect for its authority before extending his consultations to communities across the kingdom.

He urged voters to prioritise competence, capacity and development, pledging stronger representation for Warri North, Warri South and Warri South-West if elected.

Mulade also called for greater cooperation among traditional institutions and communities, stressing that peace and unity were essential to meaningful development.

“It is time for us to rise above the confines of our individualistic and ethnic concentration to a broader perspective of a better Niger Delta, starting from Warri,” he said.

Speaking during the visit, retired Commissioner of Police and Egbema stakeholder, Chief Arotu Pere, PhD, expressed support for Mulade, citing confidence in his character and ability to represent the people.

Tompolo’s Younger Brother, Seiyefa Ekpemupolo, Loses Mother

Hon. Seiyefa Ekpemupolo, younger brother of High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has lost his mother, Mrs. Queen Areremi Ekpemupolo (née Abuja), at the age of 55.

According to a funeral announcement by the family, funeral activities will take place on Friday, October 9, 2026, in Benikrukru community, Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State.
