I lived in Jos during my NYSC year. I walked its streets, saw its sunsets, shared laughs with people from all walks of life. But I also saw the fear. I remember one that happened at Gada Biyu—unrest, then curfew, then silence… until the next massacre.

Plateau State is trapped in a vicious cycle. Massacre. Retaliation. Curfew. Silence. Then it starts all over again.

And let’s be honest: it’s Christian communities that are always at the receiving end.

From Bokkos to Barkin Ladi, homes are being razed, children are slaughtered in their sleep, elderly people burnt alive, churches reduced to ashes. And what do we hear? “Clashes.” “Tensions.” No! This is not a clash. It’s not a misunderstanding. It’s targeted violence, and it's been happening for far too long.

The world may scroll past, the news may downplay it, but these are real lives—real people with names and dreams—being wiped out.

I may not have a big platform, but I have a voice. And today, I’m using it to share this story.

VDM Reports: Lady Accuses Āccess Bank of Withholding ₦500M from Late Brother’s Account

A shocking report has emerged about a lady accusing Āccess Bank of withholding ₦500M from her late brother's savings account. According to VDM, the brother disclosed his accounts before passing: GTBank (₦10M), Keystone (₦3M), Access (₦2.9M), and another Access account with ₦500M in savings.

The lady verified these accounts and balances with the CBN via BVN, which matched her brother’s claims. Armed with a court order, she successfully claimed the GTBank and Keystone funds. However, at Access Bank, the ₦2.9M account became an issue. The bank initially denied its existence, but after multiple visits and a physical altercation with the manager, they admitted the funds were there, and she withdrew them.

The bigger issue lies with the ₦500M savings account. Āccess Bank first claimed the account didn’t exist, then said it had a zero balance. Strangely, the transaction history skips 3 years but still shows interest payments—a suspicious contradiction on a “zero balance.”

VDM highlights this case as a warning to account holders about the potential risks of leaving accounts unattended. Transparency and accountability remain key concerns in banking.
