Imagine someone consuming a drink that’s slowly hàrming their body. For years, they didn’t notice any immediate effects, so they kept drinking it.

But one day, they came across a video warning about the dĂ ngers of that very drink. In an instant, they made the choice to stop.

They then found a healthier alternative and, over time, the old drink seemed repûlsive to them.

This is how knowing Jesus is. Many of us spend years living in s!n, not fully aware of how it’s dam@ging us spiritually.

But when we encounter the light of Jesus, we suddenly see what we’ve been missing.

Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in d@rkness, but will have the light of life" (John 8:12).

As we grow in our relationship with Him, walking daily with Jesus transforms us. Our desires change, and the things we once clung to begin to lose their appeal.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" (2 Corinthians 5:17).

When we taste and see that the Lord is good, the pull of our old ways becomes almost unbearable.

Just as my friend couldn’t return to the hàrmful drink once she discovered something better, once we truly experience the goodness of Christ, turning back to sin becomes almost impossible.

The more we walk in His light, the less room there is for d@rkness in our lives.

Let Jesus be the light that transforms you. And as you grow in Him, you will find it impossible to return to what once held you captive.

“Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him” (Psalm 34:8).

DÀNGERS OF PROCRASTINATING!!!

Yesterday I learned a simple but powerful lesson.

Before leaving home, I packed my lunch as usual. I normally eat by 1pm, but for no clear reason, I delayed until 3pm.

When I finally opened my food, it had already gone sour. If I had eaten at the right time, it would have been fine.

That right there made me reflect on life and faith. Many times, God places something in our hearts to do, yet we d£lay, postpone, and wait for a “better” moment.

Just like that meal, opportunities can sp0il when we ignore divine timing.

Procrastination quietly stÂŁals purpose. Obedience is not only about what God asks us to do, but when He asks us to do it.

When God prompts you — act. D£layed obedience can become missed blessings.

I was at the park last week to receive a waybill I had been expecting. Everything was going smoothly — I arrived, made my payment, and collected the package.

But the moment I tried to lift it, reality greeted me immediately.🙆

The load was far heavier than I had imagined, and I knew there was no way I could carry it alone across the road to board a keke.

So, I approached one of the male staff at the park and politely asked if he could help me carry it so we could move it together to the other side.

To my surprise, he said I would have to pay him #1,000 before he could help.

I pleaded with him, explaining that I had already spent the money I came with and didn’t have extra cash to spare, but he stood his ground and refused.

At that point, I turned to the driver for help. Thankfully, the driver intervened and told the staff to assist me, assuring him that he would personally pay #500 for the help.

Only then did the man agree, and with the assistance of his colleague, they helped me carry the load across safely.

As I reflected on the experience, one thought kept ringing in my mind: truly, nothing is free — not even in “Freetown.” 😂 Everyone is trying to earn something from every opportunity they see.

But beyond the humor, the moment also reminded me of something deeper. In a world where almost everything comes with a price tag — help, time, effort, and even kindness — there is still one thing that remains completely free: salvation. No bargaining, no negotiation, no hidden charges. Just grace.

Sometimes, everyday experiences quietly teach us life lessons. That day reminded me that while people may place value on their service, we should never forget the priceless gifts we receive freely in life.

And honestly
I’m just grateful I didn’t have to drag that load alone 😄.

THE REWARD OF OBEDIENCE

While meditating on Genesis 22 earlier this morning, one truth stood out clearly to me — there is a reward for obedience.

God asked Abraham to s@crifice Isaac, the son he loved and waited years to receive.

It wasn’t because God needed Isaac, but because obedience reveals the depth of our reverence for Him.

Abraham chose to fÂŁar God above his feelings, above his attachment, and above his understanding.

And just when he proved his obedience, God stopped him and released a covenant blessing that made Abraham the father of nations.

Sometimes God asks us for things that feel costly — not to take from us, but to test our trust in Him.

What we surrender in obedience, God restores with greater purpose.

Obedience may be d!fficult, but it never returns ÂŁmpty.
